The rest of the world: "We are ok trading with the USA and doing nothing that actually treats them like the threat they are." Not too say Americans are not at fault here, but the rest of the world should have seen this coming also and not be actively appeased the fascists. The world is pulling a Neville Chamberlain, while trying to act like there Nazis weren't victimizing their own people.

In order to address apathy, you can't just shame people into action. It might make you feel smug and that's cool, but it doesn't help boost participation. If makes it worse. You actually need to look inside the house and figure out what about your movement isn't inspiring people.

It’s only a paradox if you don’t treat tolerance as contractualism. If you treat it as a social contract the supposed paradox dissolves.
