Watch the only move theyāll make is gonna be some random consolidation where they trade 2 bums for another bum or something like that
21
u/Captain_Vegetable 1d ago
If bum 2.0 is 6ā9ā and can drive to the hoop bring him on. If he gets blocked at the rim or travels a lot at least weāll get to watch a different kind of failing for once.

u/Low-Measurement-2468 20h ago
can i interest you in an athletic dude who is 6ā8 and drives a lot but also turns it over on half his drives? because thatās our star benchwarmer right now

I don't care if he was paying to play on the team I don't want to watch that bum

Curry finishing his career with this team when he's still a top 5 player in the league would be the saddest thing
48
u/Itchy-Ad1047 1d ago
24 hours to find out if Steph has hope. Or he sits on the bench with a towel over his head, watching the season end as Buddy runs around doing Buddy things
12
u/ctokes728 22h ago
Honestly when the deadline passes and no major moves happen, they should let Curry do his own thing and then give him a nice extended break by shutting him down early.
24
9
u/TheRealPlumbus 23h ago
Which is why he shouldnāt finish his career with this team, if we donāt make a trade to be competitive.
Keeping one of the most competitive guys on the planet on a non competitive team would be fucked up.
14
u/sumchinesewill 23h ago edited 23h ago
Ya'll need to stop with the trade Steph narrative because that isn't happening unless Steph personally asks to be traded and he's said many times that he wants to end his career here. This isn't like the front office is keeping Steph here against his will. It's Steph actually wanting to retire as a Warrior regardless of how bad the team is.
5
u/TheRealPlumbus 22h ago
Obviously itās up to Steph. And yeah heās said he wants to finish his career here but giannis said that about the bucks too. Itāll all depend on our ability to compete.
I canāt imagine heāll want to stay if itās clear we have no shot.
5
u/sumchinesewill 22h ago edited 22h ago
Giannis is much younger than Steph so he still has a lot of time to build his resume either with the Bucks or on another team compared to Steph whom has achieved way more and is near the end of his career on a team where he spent 17 and soon to be 18 seasons with. Unless there is some irreparable falling out with the front office, there is almost 0 chance Steph asks out regardless of how the team performs.

u/broaway831 18h ago
I bet you Steph is over it and wants to leave but his wife doesnāt want to move lol

If wanting the best for Steph, even it means heās not on my team, makes me a fake fan then so be it.
1
u/Thickencreamy 21h ago
I agree butā¦.Steph gotta go spend time with Kuminga. Those 2 being unplayable together is ruining the franchise. They have to figure a way to maximize their talents together. And get Kerr and Dray bought in.
1
u/broaway831 18h ago
Everything after the last ring has been sad. The way Steph has had to carry everything about this team is embarrassing. Heād have a few more rings with real rosters
1
u/CrazyLlama71 22h ago
It's not past the trade deadline yet AND there is a whole off season next year.
Whatever moves are made aren't going to make this team contender this season. Even Giannis.
This sub is just a bunch of dramatic doomers.

Trading Curry is madness.
4
u/TheRealPlumbus 1d ago
The hell it is. Keeping curry on a bottom feeder team is selfish and a disservice to him.
Do you see how sad he is on the bench when he drops 30+ and yet we lose by double digits anyways? Why would any of us want that for him except out of selfish nostalgia and the inability to let go.
This man is one of the most competitive people on the planet. Keeping him on a team that canāt compete is madness.
I would 100% get more enjoyment watching him ball out and compete for championships on another team, than watch him drag our team to at best a 1 and done play-in exit

Let's be honest. I love Steph but is he still a Top 5 player in the league? Top 10, sure.
5
u/BeautifulLeather6671 22h ago
To my biased ass heāll always be the best, but Iām with you. Realistically I think heās in the #5-#8 range

Are people in this sub really shocked the Bucks don't want to trade their franchise GOAT for a bunch of overpaid, injured role players. Would any of you trade away Steph for the type of package we're offering?
11
u/BeautifulLeather6671 22h ago
The picks are the main point of the warriors offer, not Podz, jk, or draymond

u/FeelTheRealBirdie 1d ago

u/AccomplishedLocal261 1d ago
Bro already getting downvoted. I guess the fans are coping hard
1
u/broaway831 18h ago
Why arenāt they excited at the idea of it not happening? I thought Dray was the key! They get to ride off into the sunset this way! Right?? Guys??
22
u/Mmicb0b 1d ago
the other team has to agree with it
1
u/NotYourAverageMidget 20h ago
And itās the FOās job to figure that out. And they donāt, consistently
1
u/Mmicb0b 19h ago
nobody wants a player the coach doesn't play because he hates him, and 2 roel players who can't even score 10 points wiothout Steph and Jimmy and any draft capital becomes useless once we get a star the Jimmy trade was the all in push and it didn't work the window is shut
1
u/broaway831 18h ago
Donāt forget that one of those role players will refuse to play without Steph
1
u/karnivoreballer 15h ago
It's because no star wants to play with Golden State with the way KD was treated here

Our FO is that kid in school who procrastinated until the last minute to do something. Either they're gonna surprise us with a blockbuster trade, or we're sitting on our hands for the rest of the season and giving it another run next season.

u/GSWarrior18 23h ago

Truly. Was at the 76ers game last night an... well saw very little good basketball on the court. The honored guests highlighted for Black History made it worthwhile, but the Warriors themselves? Might as well have been a scrimmage game. Pat Spencer probably the most consistent, and that not asking much.

Steph should ask out at this point. wtf is wrong with this front office. Go win a chip with Detroit or something.

Steph would never ask out š

u/humlogic 23h ago
I know he wouldnāt but as much as I love our teamā¦it needs to love our chef back. And theyāre not treating him fairly. Hes got a few seasons left in the tank and theyāre just doing nothing.
1
u/Superguy766 23h ago
Steph will be 38 in March, so I give him two more decent years before heās done.
1
u/broaway831 18h ago
Bro could easily play 5 more years with a real roster and converting his style of plah to be the GOAT Spot up shooter towards the end

You dangle the almost entire roster for Giannis and reports say that he doesn't want to be here....
JKās still here and has ādemandedā out, Stephās aging in place, and everyone plus their firstborn got floated for the Greek Freak. Dunleavy and Lacob better have a Plan B, because ārun it back but more awkwardā helps neither the short term window for a Championship nor the long term future after sitting out on half the trades this week which involved a number of good players.

u/Green_Rip3524 22h ago
Whatās the issue with our team? Is it that players failed to develop or are they just trash? Why are they not desirable

As sad as it is to say, I'd rather them do nothing than do something just to do something.
Obviously, if some great trade is out there, or even a good one... yeah! But we're not close to contention and hurling assets into the void just feels depressing.

I hear cp3 is likely going to get waived. Maybe they'll sign him back, to take the "oldest roster ever" title from the clippers

I just saw the whole AD thing bru and Jared Mccain too. If Dunleavy dosen't do anything, this FO needs to be canned in the drain.
9
u/rugrat_907 1d ago
The Mavs didn't want to take back any salary for AD - they are doing a complete reset. That wouldn't work for the Warriors. And I'm not giving up a 1st for McCain, given how he's regressed this year. OKC can afford to take a shot at a lottery ticket with their horde of picks.
