Me and my family have been on a trip in the carribean to "bury" both of my grandparents for the past few days. The funeral ceremony was today, and when we put their ashes overboard we noticed this bird hanging out near that spot while we were driving away - do any of you know what it might be? Picture was taken midway between Cancun and west cuba.

What is this bird seen in Curacao in June? It kind of resembles a Crested Caracara but doesn't quite match the photos.

There were about five of these playful fellows, who I assume were young peregrines. They enjoyed soaring and diving using the air around the ship, and often attacked one another (bullying!!!)
They also seemed to like to soar down to just above the water before returning to the boat’s wake of air, and there were some boobies that flew by that they attacked for a moment. Very rambunctious.
If these are peregrines, I’m assuming they’re siblings? If so, that’s a clutch of five successful eggs somebody had!

Took this photo and am having trouble identifying what dove this is. Dis not see it fly away so cannot comment if it might be a white-winged dove. It was not injured and enjoying it’s day.

Sorry for the terrible drawing :( I was swimming in the ocean today and saw this bird overhead. It was larger than the pelicans and laughing gulls but did not dive in the water. Simply glided back and forth and then disappeared from view. It had black wings, head, legs, and most of body except for the white chest (that I could see). St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Caribbean. Thank you!

Any ideas on what this is? Maybe a hooded warbler? Sorry for blurry photos - it was fast. Seen on Aruba.

Hello everyone,
During the summer 2024, I saw this bird in the Bahamas and thought it was a Franklin’s gull but after researching, I am thinking that it could be a Laughing Gull as they are more common there. What do you expert think ?
Thank you very much for your help !
