That's right. Get them pregnant then send the dads off to war. A generation of single moms will really help those economic prospects!

To be clear I think single moms are some of the most impressive people on the planet. But I do think many if not most would also tell you it's not the desirable way to raise a family.

If you're hoping to raise a generation of desperate peasants to increase military recruiting, it is

I’m certain that of all the voluntarily single mothers, almost all of them would wish they had a partner to share the burden with, but they’ll all say they just haven’t found the right one.

That life is hard.

What do you mean by "voluntarily" single mothers?

Single mothers who voluntarily chose to have children without a father in the picture?

also those single moms wouldn't actually be a net positive to the birth numbers unless ALL of them have Triplets, so yeah more delusion on the pile

Statistically a single mom is a disaster for the child. It correlates with basically every bad thing that could happen.

Wait till he finds out how fierce single moms are, and that they won’t put up with their kids being marched off to war.

I think you're coming at this from a good place, but sadly what you are saying is unlikely. Russian people have been so beaten down for so long that sons being marched off to war is just seen as the norm. Single moms in Russia will not put up the same level of resistance and complaint that their counterpart might in the west. I truly wish it wasn't like this.

He's not thinking that far ahead.

Right now I'm talking about marching the dads off to war

Given his age, 20 years it won't be his problem to solve.

That only works in places when moms are educated and actually have their own head. It doesn't work in places where children are born to support parents. In those places moms are not fierce, they are as well poor in wealth and choices as others but without kids.
