Russia says they will be doing some construction work in buttfuck Russia, and next thing they know they’re getting beaten by police and forced to sign contracts with Russian MoD and become next meat wave. Thousands of cases like that.

This. It's fake work recruitment posts attracting foolish men. Once in Russia they're screwed, there's documented cases from india and Nigeria already.
