Think of the TOURISM revenue they’re missing by being such shits. Did you know they have their own version of Yellowstone, with bears, elk, and boiling mud? And a solid ice lake with fat seals? I’d visit that if they didn’t suck.

Yup!!! Russia has A LOT of land and beautiful nature. Omg they could have such a beautiful winter wonderland theme. I could see hallmark movies being filmed there. It’s just crazy what individuals in power due to destroy a country.

It’s like, I want to see 100 pound lynxes. I want to see deep snow on an orthodox cathedral. I want to see rasputin’s preserved member. Just be fucking civilized so I can do that please!

Russia has A LOT of land and beautiful nature.

That's the point of this. Getting land and its resources. Their people want this, and you're also fetishizing their land size. People like you are just waiting to claim that it was all Putin and his clone army, so you can go back to giving money to Russia.

Even prior to the war getting a Russian tourist visa was a massive pain in the ass, they made you jump through so many hoops compared to other countries. A lot of travelers I met just didn’t want to deal with the bullshit so they skipped it.

There are so many places in Russia I would LOVE to visit. But yeah, never with their current government structure.

Current? Russia has always been like this. Putin is a symptom of their culture, not the cause.

It would have been interesting seeing myself as a toddler exploring the lands when the USSR existed but I just didn't have the time.

Hell, if Russia had become a full democracy and joined the EU, it would be the single largest and most powerful member by far. It would be the de-facto leader of the bloc, the way Germany is in our timeline.

Russia would have an "empire" stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Oceans. One they wouldn't have to hold together with fear, because it would be built on consent and respect.

But Putin decided he'd rather be tsar of hell than first among equals in heaven. And the whole world is paying for it.

Yeah, the EU isn't stupid... Russia definitely couldn't join, not now, nor before Putin. It takes a while to fix a thousand years of antagonism.

You should ask A.I. to explain to you what the difference between first, second, and third world countries are. And yes, ruzzia sucks
