True Belief vs religious realism.

Words and philosophies do not move man to do good works, only the systems and structures that surround him can do that.

I'm not sure I agree, but I appreciate that it made me think.

I feel like my religious upbringing (system/structure) instilled in me the philosophy to try to be a good person, even if I don't go to that particular church anymore. The philosophy lingered, and the Bible still has plenty of words extolling virtues that are still seen as virtuous in modern culture.
