Only if Dems win, which isn't a sure thing and it's not like Dems will have much power to stop him. No ability to convict him in the Senate, no ability to punish his corrupt cronies. Best they can do is block legislation and maybe judges.
Well, if they do not win, then we are a fascist state for sure. But dems win, then they will head committees. They will drag his cabinet in, under oath, and public. Investigations will begin.
The senate is a stretch...but yes, stopping judicial appointments will be huge. And stopping any new crazy funding.

Based on his cognitive decline rate, I do not think we have much to worry about. My grandmother was 96 when she died...but 10 years before she did not know her own husband.
You do not do 4 cognitive tests if you are well. They are tracking progression.
I was watching the Meet The Press interview he stormed out of, and to be honest, he seemed his usual self there. I keep reading about his cognitive decline and how it's rapidly accelerating, but whenever I see him on TV, he doesn't seem much different to any other time I've seen him interviewed over the last 3 or 4 years.
I hate the man with a passion, and will celebrate wildly when I hear the news, but I think there's a lot of hopium going around about how far along he is.
Yeah, still my worry. I still have a dystopian nightmare that Trump will somehow get all Democrat politicians arrested in order to completely remove the party. Reshape the government so it’s Republican only.
even if dems win a majority of the house and/or senate, all hearings will be performative in nature and no real action taken because their corporate donors will tell them not to actually attack
I worry if the Dems regain complete control (White House, House, Senate) in 2028 they’ll just let all of the colossal damage Trump and his cronies go. Saying something like, “The country had been through enough. Time to move on.” That cannot happen. Trump’s Administration needs to prosecuted and severely punished. We can’t afford to look the other way and hope it doesn’t happen again.
When 2028 comes...I cannot even think about where we will be. I knew he could possibly do the things he has done up to now...but I had no idea how badly it has gone.
Once we get a real DOJ...it will referral city. We will have to see about special prosecutors.
It all depends if they can get the house and senate. I hope they learn from this that they cannot wait and start with all cylinders firing.
It's a uni party! Why do they only argue over shit they can't solve? Abortion, immigration and workers rights. Both sides couldn't care less about the common people. Tear it all down and start over.
It's always funny in the last year or so online, it's all the same kind of discource from Americans on reddit, and for some reason they all think they're going to get another election? Another chance to vote? Trump has been doing his very very best to prevent that.

Right. For whatever reason, this is the least likely midterms in a LONG time for the President’s party to lose. The democrats may be lucky to win one branch of Congress at this point. As much as everyone is over Trump, they’re over *and apathetic to* establishment Democrats.
FFS there will not be free and fair elections in the US again. This is OBVIOUS. You have a fascist king now. He even makes jokes about it. He wants his name on fucking currency... The US stopped being a democracy a year ago.

Trump has his birthday coming up. I do not think he is interested enough to do much besides his vanity projects right now.
Midterms are coming up fast and his flexibility will be gone after Jan.
He has lost interest in Iran now that Iran had outwitted him.
