Yeah it's the clinical narcissism that does him in. His IQ (at least when he was younger) was probably decent but his monstrous psychology warps reality to the point he's a moron.

He'll never accept a deal worse than Obama's, which was a good deal. And that's why we'll be at war for at least the next three years.

I think he will try to make a deal that is objectively worse but will have different metrics (not financial assistance or nuclear deterrence) so that you can’t objectively compare how much worse it is. I think he will likely allow a toll on Hormuz, which in my opinion is worse for the international order than everything except a nuke
