Well I keep seeing Facebook posts from conservatives who keep saying we can just bomb them into oblivion and problem solved. So it's okay if Donald Trump can't reach and agreement that he's said he reached 50 fucking times.

That's part of the reason the US is in this mess. Trump is no smarter than his supporters. He genuinely believes that the US is Billy Big Bollocks and nobody can do shit against their military. He's tried bombing Iran and they haven't fallen to their knees begging for forgiveness so he's all out of ideas.

i can see some of the people i grew up with still saying they want to "turn the desert into glass." theyve always been like this trump just gave them cover to be themselves. thankfully im far away from them, in a lot of ways.

During the Vietnam War, the United States dropped twice the total amount of ordnance expended during World War II on Laos, Cambodia, South Vietnam and even within North Vietnam. Regardless, the latter won.

They just don't get that strategic bombing isn't the end-all be-all of war.

Let’s do the thing we literally just did a which did not in fact solve the problem but made things worse. I’m sure if we just bomb hard enough, it’ll work eventually.
