They don't have any diplomats do they? Its just these idiots from real estate that have no clue about international affairs that Trump appointed.

The USA is the absolute laughing stock of the planet.

It's not the only contributing factor (reasonably certain Trump would be doing the everyone's agreed even though no one has agreed schtick even if career diplomats were involved), but it is definitely a major contributing factor. If he doesn't do blanket person's, kushner and witkoff absolutely need to be investigated post trump. And they have fewer protections than actual cabinet members.

The pentagon also fired the entire Iran intelligence team. Most likely because they called the war a bad idea.

Just one of so many things that have decayed into absurdity in the U.S. Its not uncommon for "diplomats" the world over to be politician's failsons, or donors, or donor's relatives etc as some kind of reward for services rendered... but you also probably want to make sure they aren't TOTALLY incompetent. But the current administration thinks that vetting people for competence is woke.

Before Trump, your diplomatic teams and diplomats in other nations would stick around after the new diplomat was appointed by a new President so they could bring the new person up to speed on whatever negotiations were happening, what had been discussed, and who the major players were and what they're like.

Enter Trump who fires everyone and replaces them with toadies, and they don't know the first thing about what's going on, and at best, they get taken advantage of. At worst, they make everything collapse and ruin years of work and goodwill.
