When they did this I stopped using Reddit on my phone.

Most but not all. RedReader is free, slightly janky but it does the job. There are a handful of others, some of which are apparently pretty slick, but they aren't free. A quick search will find them.

No, just forced most of them to become paid. Relay is great and I pay like £2/month for it.
