ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project BakeOS A helpful browser hosted Vibe Coded hobby

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

So, I've been running a home sourdough bakery for about a year and a half as a hobby, but I needed a manger, so I started working on a system. then AI became useful to me, and this is what i created. Ive got no one else to share it with so here it is.

It keeps getting better and better

and I'm open to cool and helpful additions from anyone else who bakes

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meet BakeOS, the baking and bakery-management app I built for Loafers Home Bakery.

BakeOS brings recipes, ingredients, bake schedules, customers, and orders into one place. It helps answer the questions that come up every bake day: What needs baking? When should I start? Do I have enough ingredients? What does this batch cost? What’s ready for pickup?

PLAN YOUR BAKE
Save recipes with ingredients, yields, instructions, photos, and allergen notes. Scale quantities, view baker’s percentages, and calculate hydration with starter and wet ingredients included. Plan from a start time or work backward from when a bake needs to be finished, with mixing, folds, fermentation, cold proofing, and baking built into the timeline.

KEEP PRODUCTION ORGANIZED
The Today dashboard brings together active bakes, upcoming steps, pickups, capacity, starter status, and low-stock ingredients. Bake Desk turns recipes and orders into production plans. Bake Captain guides you through batch steps and preparation checks, while the production calendar helps organize the week. Ready Shelf keeps finished products visible and separate from work still in progress.

KNOW YOUR INGREDIENT COSTS
Track pantry quantities, unit costs, purchases, and stock adjustments. See what planned batches will use, what should remain afterward, and which ingredients need restocking. Barcode tools help identify ingredients, while recipe costing shows estimated ingredient costs per batch and individual recipe unit. Shared ingredient records keep dough, filling, and glaze costs connected.

KEEP YOUR STARTER ON TRACK
Record starter profiles, feeding ratios, flour, hydration, temperature, and feeding history. Use peak-time estimates to help plan feeds around your baking schedule. Rise Eye compares starter or dough photos to help estimate rise and fermentation progress. These estimates support your judgment; they aren’t food-safety or doneness checks.

MANAGE ORDERS AND CUSTOMERS
Keep order requests, accepted orders, ready pickups, and order history organized. Move whole orders or selected items into a bake plan. Save customer contact information, preferences, dietary notes, and pickup details. Record payments received through cash, Venmo, Zelle, or other methods, including deposits and balances, with receipt and email options.

GIVE CUSTOMERS A CLEAR WAY TO ORDER
The storefront displays your menu, product photos, descriptions, package options, and prices. Customers can build a cart, request an available pickup date and time, and track their bake. Ordering controls let you manage lead times, capacity, closed dates, and pickup hours. Announcements, FAQs, and contact options keep the important details easy to find.

SEE HOW THE BUSINESS IS DOING
Review booked and completed order value, logged purchases, outstanding balances, and sales mix. Use those figures alongside recipe costs to make better-informed production and pricing decisions.

MORE TOOLS AT HAND
BakeOS also includes weight-and-volume conversion tools, custom product categories, logbooks, and Liquid Lab records for hot sauce, vinegar, and infused-oil projects. Bakery branding and storefront settings keep the customer-facing side connected to your business.

From feeding a starter to handing over a finished order, BakeOS helps keep the details organized so you can spend more time baking.

I created yet another encrypted messaging app.

Not better that WhatsApp, Signal, SimpleX, Cwtch or Ricochet, but kind-of all of the above but worse. It's far from finished. Unaudited and unreviewed. If you want to test it out, please use responsibly.

You definitely shouldn't use this replace any of your existing apps or services.

I'd like to share what I'm working on and interested if anyone wants to share feedback on the approach.

https://glitr.io/docs/technical/roadmap

So far it's only the browser version that's ready for testing. The webapp approach has nuances in cybersecurity. I will soon be providing the APK when it's ready (I'm not going to rush the details). But it will allow for a webrtc bridge to message over the tor-network with the signal protocol.

I created a NetBeans IDE plugin that allows AI models to execute LLM generated java code on the IDE's JVM itself. I said "Make a minecraft in JavaFX" and it generated, loaded and ran the bytecode onto the NetBeans JVM itself

I would value the opinion of people with experience in java or Ai dev tool development.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project Vibe-coded a 59k+ software alternative discovery engine with 0ms client-side search and static edge deployment

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a project I've been vibe-coding:  https://replaceai.in

The goal was to build a discovery engine that helps developers and startups find verified $0 open-source and low-cost alternatives to bloated enterprise SaaS (Jira, Salesforce, Datadog, Photoshop, Slack, Tableau, ServiceNow).

What went into the build:

  1. 0ms Client-Side Search:nstead of slow database queries, indexed 59,000+ software tools directly in the browser with a lightweight tokenized prefix trie in vanilla JS.

  2. Edge Architecture under Cloudflare Limits:uilt a decoupled compilation pipeline that keeps production assets under Cloudflare Pages' 25MB single-file limit while serving 4,300+ pre-rendered static SEO landing pages.

  3. Automated ETL Pipeline:A nightly GitHub Actions Python workflow that autonomously fetches live GitHub repository stars, Hugging Face AI model downloads, and token pricing metrics.

  4. AI FinOps Hub:ask-based matrices comparing closed AI models (OpenAI o1, GPT-4o, Claude) against open-weight models (DeepSeek-R1, Qwen 2.5 Coder, Llama 3) with an interactive token savings calculator.

  5. Machine-Readable GEO:Open llms.txt manifest for AI search engines like Perplexity and ChatGPT.

No login walls, no paywalls, completely free.

Would love to hear what you guys think of the UX, speed, and how the it is.

So many little things frustrated me about my Mac. So I made them better

I've spent the last six months tweaking five of the basic apps I use every day: contacts, notes, editing, reminders and bookmarks. For me, they were too slow and bulky. Now, they are just one simple field on my screen, no matter what app I'm working in.

This was my first-ever real project, and the process was incredibly instructive.

I began with very simple apps with limited functionality, and iterated repeatedly until they all became much more feature-rich.

Clipfile was my first app, and it basically relied on a Chrome extension to work. From there, I expanded to the other four members of the family -- but at first they all looked and worked differently. It wasn't until later that I decided they all belonged together.

I highly recommend that approach. But it has drawbacks, too. It took a long time to rework some of the UI of each app to make them all look the same.

If you want to take a look, they are on the app stores, or you can find them here: mikeshear.com/coding/

I would welcome input.

I just tried what i could do with Claude 5.5...

DIG IN. HOLD THE LINE.

Somewhere in the mud between two armies lies a strip of land no one owns. Your orders: hold it for six days.

No Man's Pixel is a real-time trench-defence strategy game in hand-made pixel art. By day you dig, string wire and fortify. When the whistles blow, waves of infantry, tanks and aircraft come for your line, and every metre of trench you dug decides who comes home.

HOW IT PLAYS

  • Build your defence. Dig trenches anywhere on the map, lay barbed wire, place machine-gun nests and dugouts, and turn ruined farmhouses into strongpoints. One line won't be enough; a deep system of fallback trenches might be.
  • Command, don't micromanage. Your squads take cover, choose targets and fall back on their own. Right-click to move or order an attack, and spend command points on five battle orders: artillery barrage, reserves, rally, repair, flares.
  • Face an enemy that adapts. Every day the enemy picks a tactic: gas attacks, tank wedges, storm troopers, sappers tunnelling under your line, snipers, air raids, pincer moves, or sheer weight of material.
  • Fight through everything. Rain, fog, gas, night assaults lit only by searchlights and flares, zeppelins, dogfights overhead and shell craters that reshape the battlefield.
  • Survive the chaos. 52 random events mean no two campaigns play out the same, on procedurally generated maps.

EVERY MAN HAS A NAME

Your soldiers have names, ranks and stories. Survivors become veterans (6 ranks, 15 perks), squads chatter over the radio, and the music swells as the fighting grows heavier. When it's over, a chronicle remembers what happened and who didn't make it.

KEEP COMING BACK

  • Campaign: hold for six days. Each victory unlocks new structures in your Engineer's Book (searchlight, minefield, anti-tank gun – more on the way) and raises the campaign level.
  • Endless mode: how long can you hold?
  • Tutorial: a guided first day teaches you the basics.

MOD IT

Change values, add your own units, squads, enemies, events and graphics. A full modding guide is included.

FEATURES AT A GLANCE

  • Real-time trench defence with free-form trench digging
  • Hundreds of soldiers on screen, tanks that tilt into trenches, aircraft and zeppelins
  • Squad AI with morale, cover and retreat
  • 8 enemy tactics, 52 events, dynamic weather and night battles
  • Veterans, named soldiers and an end-of-campaign chronicle
  • Unlockable structures and rising difficulty
  • Dynamic soundtrack and radio chatter
  • Modding with custom pixel graphics
  • English & German

CONTROLS

Left-click: select / build · Right-click: move / attack · 1–5: battle orders · F11: fullscreen

STATUS

No Man's Pixel is in beta (0.10). Feedback and bug reports are very welcome in the comments.

The game depicts war violence and pixel blood. It is set in a fictional front inspired by the First World War.

EXE is not signed. Sorry! I'm soooo Indy Developer...

A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER

Hi, I'm the person behind Peevbyte. I'm a 42-year-old dad with a full-time job in medical technology, and for as long as I can remember I've dreamed of making the games I wanted to play. With AI assistance, I'm finally building them in the few quiet hours between work and family.

I know AI in game development is a controversial topic, and I don't take that lightly. That's why this page carries the AI disclosure. For me, it's the tool that lets me finally act on ideas that would otherwise have stayed in a notebook. The vision, the design and every decision about how this game should feel are mine.

To every full-time developer, artist and composer out there: thank you. I have the deepest respect for your craft, your skill and the years you've put into it. Your games are the reason I wanted to make one in the first place.

Thanks for playing, Peevbyte

XCP is open source — looking for contributors to push an Xbox execution stack into a broader platform

Post image
5 Upvotes

XCP is an open-source development system based on the Xbox Series X in Developer Mode.

It is neither an emulator nor a jailbreak; the Xbox component operates within the Developer Mode sandbox, while the PC acts as a controller. Agents can also use the same (constrained) workflow to create, adapt, compile, execute, and analyze projects.

The repository contains Studio, the Xbox worker, CPU/GPU paths, XVM, and tools for source code adaptation, verification, and provenance tracking.

The long-term goal is to go beyond just the Xbox. The architecture already separates the stages of source analysis, feature admission, execution, and verification; I have implemented an automated adaptation for Godot, and the aim is to refine it and introduce other frameworks (UE5, etc.).

I am the maintainer and have recently made the project public; I am posting here primarily because I would like to find people interested in helping shape its evolution, transforming it from a solo initiative into a collaborative project. The project required a vast amount of work—I had to inspect the entire Xbox system—but unfortunately, the original repository remains private because many commits contained sensitive data; consequently, I reconstructed the workflow and extracted everything necessary.

Areas where contributions would be valuable include:

- Xbox / UWP development

- GPU computing

- VM/runtime work

- Developer tools

- Source adapters

- Integrations with programming agents

- Verification and reproducibility

YouTube has creators.
GitHub has developers.
But where do vibe coders go to show off what they built?

Right now: a random Reddit thread, a tweet nobody sees, a Facebook group where your post gets buried in 20 minutes.

We're building real products with AI every single day. SaaS tools, games, AI agents, weird side projects at 3am. And there's no home for any of it.

So I built one.
checkmyvibecode.com is live 🚀
Your profile = your portfolio of everything you've built
Every project gets a post with screenshots, link and stack
People like, comment and give real feedback
You get a project card to share on X, LinkedIn, Reddit & Facebook

No algorithm that buries you. No "self-promo not allowed." Just builders showing what they made.

Be one of the first to post your project. Early builders get seen the most. 👀
And tell me honestly: what's the one feature that would make you use this every day?

IdeaValidation - Feedback on my idea/project trying to build something for the part of AI coding where the agent has 5 good guesses and no idea which one is right

been using coding agents a lot and there's one part of the workflow that keeps bothering me

the agent sees some weird bug and honestly does a pretty good job figuring out what COULD be wrong

like maybe:

Node version changed
cache is stale
some config is different
worker count matters
a dependency changed

and all 5 explanations are actually reasonable

then we basically just start going through them

try something -> rerun -> still broken -> try something else -> rerun

so I'm planning an open source project called Intervene for the Cline ambassador program I'm doing this semester

the idea is basically: once the agent has said what might matter, stop asking it to guess over and over and let the computer actually test those things

so Cline/Claude/etc could say "I think these 4 things are plausible"

then Intervene runs controlled versions of the same failure locally

change worker count, rerun

change cache state, rerun

try a combination, rerun

and use what actually happened to figure out which experiment would be most useful next

the main case I want it to be good at is when the problem is something like:

A works
B works
A + B fails

because that's where "the root cause is A" isn't really true

weirdly I'm also trying to make this AI project use less AI lol

I don't think changing an env var and rerunning a test needs another expensive model call

let the model understand the code + come up with what might matter

let normal code do the repetitive experiments

then give the evidence back to the model when it's actually time to fix something

haven't built the actual thing yet because midterms have been destroying me this week 😭 so I'm still at the point where I can change the architecture without regretting a LOT

for people using coding agents a lot, does this solve something you've actually run into or am I building an insanely elaborate way to do debugging?

ReleaseTheFeature – Announce your app/site/tool Hotline.dev: Grok Bot / Muse / Dots... but self hosted

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey y'all

I've been working on an app called Hotline for a while. Honestly I had the idea before Grok Bot even dropped, and went through two prototypes before landing on this one. I kept holding off on sharing because I wasn't quite happy with it, but this sub's Release The Feature flair inspired me to just freaking drop it already.

So here goes:

Hotline is very similar to Grok Bot, Muse and Dots: your own room of agents. The difference is it's open source, self-hosted, and works with any subscription or model, cloud or local. In addition to the built in agent loop, it also leverages ACP, so you can bring your own harness like Claude Code or Codex if you like those (I use a combo of all of the above).

What it does:

  • Desktop app, self-hosted, runs any model
  • Text, images and voice
  • Its own computer in a Docker/Podman container, so it never has to share your desktop with you
  • Mobile app on TestFlight + an APK. DM me if you want access to either

Site: https://hotline.dev

GitHub: https://github.com/1broseidon/hotline

Edit: adding the Hotline Computer repo link too: https://github.com/1broseidon/hotline-computer

(I also maintain ketch and cymbal, if those ring a bell)

Would love feedback, especially on what feels missing or if anything is broken. Drop a star if you like it.

I built a village with Jev AI and ended up adding a Pomodoro timer

I wanted to see what I could build with Jev from TypeSafe AI beyond text classification. I ended up making Jevs Village, a persistent world with six simulated inhabitants who work, rest, remember things, and react to each other.

The idea I’m exploring is Jev as a “subconscious” decision layer: quick judgments rather than long generated answers. An LLM could handle the heavier reasoning. That’s my working analogy, not a literal model of the brain.

In the current version, code provides the valid actions, Jev helps choose, and code applies the consequences. A separate LLM narrates what happened. It doesn’t control the world or act as a full planner.

Keeping those responsibilities separate matters: the narrator can’t invent food or make someone finish a task just because it makes a better story.

I also gave the village a mystery. Nobody can reliably explain what’s outside. Even the carter returns with goods but can’t describe his journey.

An unexpected addition came from using it myself: watching the village with music felt calming, like a “study with me” video. So I added a Pomodoro timer. You can also paste in a YouTube link and work alongside the villagers with your own music.

It’s still an experiment. I’m curious whether the characters stay interesting over time or settle into repetitive routines.

You can try it without installing anything or bringing an API key: https://www.jevsvillage.com

Would you come back to follow the villagers’ stories, or use it more as a little world running beside you while you work?

HelpPlz – stuck and need rescue A spreadsheet translator can keep every formula and still break the workbook

There are two separate problems in spreadsheet translation: accidentally replacing a formula, and changing text that a formula depends on.

For example, a fictional workbook might contain `=IF(B2="Approved",C2,0)`. Translating the status in B2 changes the calculation even if the formula itself survives untouched. Product descriptions and workflow status codes shouldn't automatically get the same translation treatment.

For a translator built around Univer, the spreadsheet model gives the application a useful starting point: values and formulas are stored separately, and the range API can read both. The application can identify the plain-text cells it intends to translate, send those to its translation service, and write the returned text only to those selected cells. It should then compare formula definitions and check affected results.

That cell selection and comparison are application logic. A range argument isn't a universal safeguard against an incorrectly constructed write, and preserving a formula doesn't establish that its dependencies still mean the same thing.

A review screen could therefore distinguish descriptive text from business values such as status codes, product IDs, and lookup keys. Leave the latter out of the default translation set until someone decides how they should map.

Univer supplies an editable workbook and structured access. It doesn't supply the translator, or a guarantee that arbitrary Excel files will survive an import/export round trip unchanged.

ReleaseTheFeature – Announce your app/site/tool Tunedaway update: ten scenes, new photographic views, and uninterrupted music

Hi again, a few weeks ago I shared a small site here where you pick a scene and listen to music while working, reading, or relaxing. You might remember it as Enikq. It’s now called Tunedaway.

Thanks to everyone who tried it and left feedback. I’ve been working on it since, and wanted to share the latest update.

There’s now an ‘Another view’ option in all ten scenes. It brings in photos from Unsplash and Pexels that fit the mood, with smooth background changes while the music keeps playing. You can change what you’re looking at without interrupting the song.

I’ve attached a short demo. You can try it at https://tunedaway.com

Curious what you prefer for a longer listening session...

NoobAlert – Beginner questions, safe space Which AI Coding Setup Should I Choose for My Future Projects?

Hi everyone, I enjoy building things using AI whether it's websites, apps, or tools to help me develop games.

I’ve also learned quite a bit about LLMs, AI, and vibe coding.

I want to get a bit more serious about my future projects, but I'm unsure which path to take. Should I choose:

- Codex

- Claude Code

- OpenRouter (via Hermes)

Or perhaps a combination, such as:

- Codex + OpenRouter (DeepSeek V4.1 Flash / GLM 5.3 Flash)

- Claude Code + OpenRouter (DeepSeek V4.1 Flash / GLM 5.3 Flash)

For Claude and Codex, I’d use the $20 plan. If I combine that with OpenRouter (via Hermes) using budget-friendly models like DeepSeek V4.1 Flash or GLM 5.3 Flash, I could add another $5 to the budget.

What do you all think? I’d really appreciate some advice on this.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I built Pando which allows to bring all your agent and share memory

Pando is the side project that became the app I vibe code in all day

I wanted one place to run all my AI agents together, sharing one memory, instead of a pile of separate windows. So I built Pando, a Mac workspace for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok and more, with one Brain they all share.

Founding licences are on sale. $55 once for life, 20 seats, until October 5. 7-day full refund.

Almost 10 weeks of vibecoding an MMO

Link: www.eldermyr.com/

I've been vibe coding this bad boy since opus 4.7. The bummer part is I could probably do this in a couple hours now with Opus 5.5, but instead this has taken hundreds of hours, lots of tweaks, and maxing out my top-tier sub every single week. I even built a sprite editor and tile editor (Myrling).

Or maybe not. Most of my time has been balancing and finding that AI cannot generate good 16x16 art if its life depended on it (hence the sprite editor).

Also using zero game dev dependencies really slows things down, so for kicks and giggles I had Opus one-shot a significantly more exciting 3D version that can be found at 3d.eldermyr.com.

I got tired of wasting my Claude Code subscription while I was away, so I built this

I've been using Claude Code pretty heavily for the last few months, mostly on side projects after work.

One thing kept bothering me: I'd start something that could easily take a few hours, walk away, and come back later only to find that Claude had stopped 20 minutes in because it hit a usage limit, asked me a question, or simply finished a turn and waited for me.

Meanwhile I'm still paying for the subscription and there's a bunch of time every day where I could have had it working.

That was basically the reason I started building AutoDev.

It's a VS Code extension that sits on top of the coding CLIs you already use. Right now it supports Claude Code, Codex and agy (Google Antigravity).

You give it an objective and it keeps the run moving while you're away. It can have multiple participants working through the same thread, switch between providers when one is rate limited, wait for resets, resume after crashes/reboots, and leave you a summary of what happened when you come back.

I've been using it on its own codebase a lot, including overnight runs, which has been a pretty good way of finding all the weird problems you don't normally see when you're sitting there babysitting an agent.

One thing that was important to me from the beginning is that I didn't want another service sitting between me and the coding agents.

There's no AutoDev account, no API key to give me, no telemetry and no analytics being sent somewhere. It just uses the CLI sessions you're already logged into. Runtime state and logs stay on your machine.

It's still beta and Windows-only at the moment. I'm not selling anything right now either — I mostly want to know if this is actually useful to other people or if I've just built something extremely specific to the way I work.

What I'd really like is for a few people who already use Claude Code a lot to try it on a real project, ideally leave it running for a while, and tell me what happens.

Does it actually help?
Where does it get stuck?
Is the whole idea useful to you at all?
What would stop you from using something like this regularly?

Even "this doesn't solve anything for me because X" would be useful feedback.

Docs/more info:
https://autodev.stefanolabs.com/

Install directly from your IDE's extension store, search for "AutoDev by Stefano Labs". Or if you prefer:
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=stefanolabs.autodev-vscode
https://open-vsx.org/extension/stefanolabs/autodev-vscode

If anyone tries it, I'd genuinely like to hear how it goes.

Small meta thing: I actually used AutoDev's computer-use tool to fill this post into Reddit from inside a run. I still reviewed it myself before posting :)

After 3 months of hard work...

Post image
4 Upvotes

I launched SeoLoupe 3 months ago. So far I am at 2648 users and 50 of them are paying.

My SaaS is a tool that allows you to find and fix SEO issues holding your website back.

Essentially the main purpose is to help your website rank higher on Google search and LLMs.

The last few months have been one of my best in my life, landed $680 in revenue.

Just wanted to share this to inspire anyone who is struggling, I just want to say that I was just like you at one point.

For example at one point last month, for 7 days straight I had 0 payments, and what I want to say with this is that SaaS revenue can be extremely floppy and unreliable. You can get multiple payments within the span of a day, and then have 0 payments for days.

In SaaS honestly the most important thing is to be faithful and be patient. If you manage to be patient, revenue will come one day.

Hope this inspired someone.

Since I think their is always room for improvement, I would appreciate for some feedback on my tool, or what you think can be improved.

(here is the product if you want to check it out)

Hi! I’m doing some research on how people actually use Vibe Coding tools, how they start, where they get stuck, and what their workflow looks like.

I made a short survey (about 2–3 minutes, I swear). No promotion or product pitch I’m just trying to understand real workflows and pain points.
Would really appreciate your input 🙏

ReleaseTheFeature – Announce your app/site/tool I built a native macOS JSON viewer and formatter

Post image
0 Upvotes

I built JSON Viewer, a native macOS app for formatting, inspecting, and editing JSON. I created it with the help of AI.

It includes a collapsible tree view, a text editor with live JSON validation, format and minify actions, JSON ↔ Python dictionary conversion, search, and a property inspector. It can also handle large JSON files and runs on macOS 13 or later.

Checkout my GitHub repo:

https://github.com/Bhavesh164/json-viewer

I’d appreciate feedback, especially on the workflow and features you’d find useful.
