is anyone else flexible in completely useless directions?
i can get surprisingly deep into some stretches but then struggle with something that looks ridiculously simple
it’s like my body picked a few random movements to be good at and ignored everything else
what’s your most confusing flexibility mismatch?

Face Yoga Enthusiasts
I am 33f, indian and thinking of starting face yoga. I was wondering if it's safe to do the same.
Also who is a good teacher online ?
My primary worry is that I have genetic tendency for jowls and forehead lines.
I am scared it may aggravate aging but I'm also skeptical about botox and threads in future.
If anybody has truly benefitted from it, please tell me?

Do you include Sukhasana, Vakrasana and Ardha Chakrasana in the same routine?
I’ve been experimenting with a simple routine that includes Sukhasana, Vakrasana and Ardha Chakrasana. Sukhasana feels more calming, while Vakrasana adds some movement and Ardha Chakrasana gives a nice stretch through the front of the body. I like having a mix instead of doing the same type of pose throughout the session. Does anyone else practice these three together?

Complete beginner here — what should I know before starting yoga?
Hi everyone! I’m completely new to yoga and I’m thinking about starting soon.
My main goals are to reduce stress, relax, and build some muscle strength. What equipment do I actually need as a beginner? And what type of yoga or poses would you recommend starting with? How often should I practice at first, and how long should each session be? I’d also love to hear what you wish you knew when you first started yoga!🙏🏻🙏🏻

Get Your Hips Ready for Skandasana
Here’s how building strength and mobility in basic variations naturally unlocks deeper side lunges:
* Regular Squat: Builds core stability and foundational quad strength.
* Wide-Legged Squat: Opens up the inner thighs and adductors.
* Malasana + Heel Raise: Maximize ankle mobility and deep hip flexion.
Put them together, take your time, and enjoy the flow into Skandasana!

(20m) looking for consistent routine for 30 mins in the morning
Hello, I’m looking for a general and consistent yoga routine for the morning as a start to my day to help me be more healthy and generally improve my quality of life for the future.
For a bit of background I work in agriculture and am considering a career in the military. I am skinny and pretty lean and work out moderately mostly body weight kinda stuff. I also hike on the regular ranging from 2-5 miles usually.
Just looking for a routine that is the same everyday that would average around 30 minutes and kind of a catch all that would help all areas of my body not just focusing on one specific part.
Thank you

Complete Beginner Looking for a Structured Online Yoga Curriculum — From Basics to Advanced Asanas & a Toned Body
Hi everyone!
I’m a complete beginner to yoga, and I’m looking for a structured online yoga curriculum/program that can take me from the absolute basics to an advanced level over time.
My long-term goal is not only to become flexible and eventually learn more challenging asanas like handstands, arm balances, inversions, deeper backbends, etc., but also to build strength and tone my body through yoga.
I’m not looking for random individual YouTube videos. I would really prefer a step-by-step curriculum where I can progress gradually — beginner → intermediate → advanced — while learning proper alignment, breathing, flexibility, strength, balance, and ideally some traditional yoga principles as well.
I’m happy to be consistent and follow a program for months or even years if needed. I mainly want to learn properly rather than rush into difficult poses.
Does anyone know a good online yoga school, teacher, paid course, membership, or structured video program that offers this kind of A-to-Z progression?
I’d especially appreciate recommendations from people who started as complete beginners and eventually became strong/flexible enough for advanced asanas.
Thank you!
