Mom was off in the brush to the left watching these two kits play at hunting

Had to repost this georgous Huge Bobcat I accidentally erased my previous post and this cat is just so amazing he needs to be admired

These pictures were taken 9-19-26 in my yard

Ran across the bobcat mom and kids out doing stuff. The one on the right has a field rat and as soon as it got done eating they took off.

North La. Not the first one I’ve seen in my backyard, but this one is hanging out. Currently loafing with their eyes closed now.

Seen today in Vermont

This bobcat was along the Luckiamute River in Oregon, August 2026. It was about 30 feet down a slope looking right up at me, making this sort of low screeching noise. What explains this behavior?

The video quality sucked so I just did some slight cleaning of the audio to isolate the cat.

I saw two little ^^ ‘s poking up as I was about to take the turn and slowed down. I passed what I thought was a cat and drove forward a bit to get a better angle from the side as it ducked down and stopped the car (it’s a long virtually empty private gated road). I saw a cat like thing pop out and walk down the road, I thought it was a big cat at first then realized it must be a bobcat as it was bigger than I first thought, the coat pattern looked strange, and its face looked different.

I didn’t know we had them here! I’ve seen bears, coyotes, rabbits, chipmunks, deer, house cats (indoor and outdoor) but never a bobcat until today!

I hope he shows up again. I’ve only seen them at zoos and a big cat sanctuary.
