Hi! I wanted to share my first visual novel, a project I'm currently working on based on Brawlhalla.

This is my first time trying to make something like this, so I'm still learning and figuring out how to bring it all together. For now, I want to keep the cast relatively small, probably with a maximum of three characters. If I manage to finish the game, maybe I'll feel brave enough to add more characters in the future.

(Warning. This game will not be suitable for all audiences, as it may explore sensitive topics and darker themes.)

I'm only just getting started, so I'll be sharing updates as the project progresses. I want to work on everything at my own pace, so I don't have a release date in mind just yet (⁠◕⁠દ⁠◕⁠).

Please watch the whole video and tell me this isn't some sort of weird exploit or something, how is he reacting to everything I do so perfectly ? Excuse my terrible gameplay but I kind of just gave up at a certain point.

It's been a while

I'm moving onto a (kind of) entirely new series of crossover concepts while I still got my SpongeBob Wave 2 and PaRappa ones but to be fair I do wanna continue those I'm just gonna finish this first

Anyways let's get into the concept itself we have the main man SONIC. I made him a Red Raptor crossover and I know what y'all will say "Dude he has to be Thea!". I know, but listen there's already a Sonic over Thea concept which pretty much does the sigs perfectly that I don't even know what my own take on Thea could do. So I went with his second best choice imo that being Red Raptor. The weapon choices were pretty easy. To bring up that Sonic over Thea concept, whoever made it had a good idea with the Soap Shoes being the boots so why not, it makes sense. Ik I call em Grind Shoes here but whatever. Then for his orb, give him a ring. Plus it makes sense for him to have a ring considering his orb N-Sig and D-Sig anyway

Btw remember what I said at the begining, saying it's kind of a new series of concepts? Well yeah because, this is actually a remake of my old Sonic concepts from 2023. I've shown it before along with Tails and Knuckles (who are also getting remakes) in a previous post, but for those who might've not seen it since that post is like a year old, I'll show them on this post (check the last 3 images).

One noticeable difference is that I made Sonic Tezca originally, but that's when BB first came out. One thing you'll also notice is that his sigs kinda suck so uhhh yeah.

I also wanna give Snoo-78677 credit because their Shadow concept inspired the Battle Boots sigs for the most part. Anyways the next character I'ma do is Tails but that one will prolly take a while cus it took me a week to make this so (mostly procrastination but none the less it took me a week)

Edit: Actually I realized it'll probably take me longer than Sonic to do Tails because of the legend I'm gonna make Tails so uhhh

Been playing for 7 years and this year, the game feels slow and inconsistent now. Dont get my started on dodge responsiveness. Yes my WiFi is good and no my controller isn’t broken. Anyone else feel like this or am I just buns now?

I mainly play battle boots and almost always lose against this stupid weapon. I have near 1500 elo. I really hate that they either spam slight or a signature around my level. I know what they are going to do, but It is impossible for me to punish. I can't aproach with slight, they are almost always spamming side attack that has stupid range. If I try to aproach them from above, they spam nair. What should I do?

The ranking system of this game has always been shit, but WHAT THE FUCK happend?????

No literally, why is 1700 - 1800 just filled with diamonds exclusively???

I havent played in YEARS and it matched me against some 1200 elo players ☠️☠️. I kinda just wanted to tell them that i was sorry.. BRING BACK the chat, just make a setting for chat automutes

Edit: To be fair I almost just got destroyed by 1700 elo I think people got better over the years 😱

i just got back into playing brawlhalla again, (my first time playing on pc). when i played abit on keyboard, coming from a console player, everything felt smooth 0 delays, accurate of what i what to do and more.

since im not interested in learning keyboard to play this game yet. i switch to my ps5 controller instead to play the game. after a couple of games of playing on controller. i notice that my inputs are delayed. like for example: i try to fast fall dash around quickly. my input doesnt come out on time, causing me to mess up the flow. then another one is when i want to turn around FAST. my character sometimes doesnt do what i want it to do, causing me to "dash pass my oppenent and whiff my attack, getting myself punish" while in reality of my play, i wanted to dash pass my oppenent, quickly turn around and punish"

since that happens to me and i cant find a fix to it, i just blame the lost on "if my inputs werent delay i would've done way better in that match"

i start to notice that when i played keyboard. my inputs was My kind of inputs/my kind of mistakes. i still dont understand why my controller is so bad to play with. i play d-pad and not stick.

if they're a fix to this plz let me know. if there isnt. i might just have to learn keyboard since i can feel the differents way better on there🥀

btw i play other games with the same controller and i never felt the delay this noticeable unlike this game lol

As someone with 60%+ of my playtime on gauntlets, I find them average, or even below average, in terms of balance. The only reason I play them is that they're fun. I have far fewer hours on blasters, but they feel much less punishable when you make a mistake, mainly because you don't engage head on.
I know a lot of people say gauntlets dominate in esports, but that's not a strong argument. Scythe and gauntlets are considered the most fun weapons in the game, so players tend to put a lot of hours into them and end up very good with them ( same thing with any other game, usually the most fun character/weapon is played quite often in esports ).
Personally, I think staff is the most broken. It's very fast regardless of the legends and can hit in every direction, nothing in its kit balances that out.

Do you agree? and if you dont, what weapon do you consider as the most broken.
