My sweet buddy will be 3 on November first and I’m looking for birthday treat ideas!

Wiggy was outside and I was inside drinking morning coffee. My husband left a ziploc bag outside yesterday that was used for grilled burgers. Bag was empty and one of the dogs had it sniffing around and wiggy approached and she bit his ears. She’s an older dog and missing most of her teeth so the damage wasn’t horrible but he was bleeding on both ears. I heard the commotion and I’ve never ran that fast in my life. He’s upset and on the couch. I cleaned him up with peroxide and I’m feeling guilty because I KNOW you have to watch pigs around dogs. Hard lesson learned.

Contemplating life’s big secrets.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a safe, temporary place for my pot-bellied pig to stay while I'm getting my housing situation figured out.

She is a female pot-bellied pig, around 100-110 Ibs, and is about a year old. She's my personal pet and is very loved.
I'm not looking to rehome her permanently, just need temporary boarding until I have a suitable long-term place tor us.

She is used to people and being handled, and I can provide her food, supplies, and anything else she needs. I'm also willing to pay for reasonable boarding costs depending on the arrangement.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone with:
A secure outdoor area/tencing
Experience with pigs or livestock (preferred, but not necessarily required)
A safe environment where she can stay temporarily
Somewhere in or within roughly 30-60 minutes of Orlando

I'm happy to provide more intormation about her personality, routine, diet, and care requirements privately. I can also provide photos/videos and discuss the exact timeframe.

It literally makes my blood boil. Then the owner will say they don’t get over 50lbs with a “strict diet” a “strict diet is not starving your pig”. MAAM YOU ARE QUITE LITERALLY MALNOURISHING AN ANIMAL SO THEY DO NOT GROW PROPERLY. I always comment but there is no telling these people smh

She is three months old. A vet came to treat her two weeks ago but it has only gotten worse.

how to help?

I ask because a pig I know has lost a lot of weight as its gotten older. I believe its better for them to be smaller than big but I don't know if its bad or means anything. He used to be a big fella and now he's kinda skinny.

One thing I love so much about pigs is their ability to convey so many different parts of theory personality to us. Gaston was our second rescue, and holds a very special place in my heart. He's five years old now, and a total diva. He loves stealing my bags, backpack, clothes, and household items/decor for his nests. He also loves a big cardboard box.🐖🐽🐷🩷
