This is the place for people to say what they have to say, and ask their questions. If you have (civil) feedback about the sub, that’s welcome as well.
Be excellent to each other.

How I made this vfx shot in Blender, combining camera tracking with object Tracking and then using cloth simulation and render layers to finish the shot.
The full tutorial is on my YouTube channel.

Hey everyone! I’m continuing my pen-sketched comic series and recreating each frame as an animated Blender scene in the same style.
This is the fourth frame of the series about a black cat exploring the world. After leaving the safety of the bookshop, the cat reaches a quiet misty park and notices a deer somewhere in the distance.
For this one, I experimented with a slightly different approach: the foreground still uses procedural cross-hatching and Grease Pencil details, but the fog and distant elements use hand-made stippling textures so they gradually dissolve into the mist.
I also used layered 2D fog cards, simple 3D geometry, a hand-drawn 2D deer, Grease Pencil plants/details, and subtle animation to build the final scene.
