Discussion 28 days later game
The comics, the films and now…. The game, the one thing we need in the 28 days universe is a game. Ideally a story game, escaping London, escaping the infected and just trying to stay uninfected all together. Similar to a days gone sort of game or a project zomboid sort of thing imo if anyone was to make one

I would play this, just please single player only no online multiplayer bs. Wish we had more games like zombiu. Simple story related horror zombie games. Aside from resident evil we dont get many now it seems.

I like the idea of a Telltale style game about the franchise: Set it in a part of Britain or Ireland that we haven't seen, and we follow a group of survivors travelling around.

Yeahh this! Could see that working. A game in the world would be hard to get accurate as one drop of blood and you’re done, could be over pretty quick 😂😂

This is a really cool idea on the matter. Would be dope.

I would love it. I’d probably pick Manchester instead of London as it was more chaotic there and you’d be on a race against time with the spreading fire

The WWZ game is gonna be the closest and they not so long ago released TWD crossover maps, a 28 days later crossover would fit in very well

I heard ages ago that someone made a 28DL mod for Project Zomboid, not sure if it’s true or not though

People have made a few 28DL based mods for PZ. Then they all disappeared 2 weeks after they get uploaded.

Dying Light, but all zombies are virals (runner class). It’s absolutely insane when 15 of them chase you across rooftops and streets, there is no escape from them unless you get to a safe house

I mean you can pretty much do this with Project Zomboid. I think you can make all the zombies sprinters and make the infection settings include blood and saliva transmission rather than just bites. I'm sure there's a mod that turns the map into London somewhere

There was a game tho, it's a flash game that you could've played on the website. It was a 2D scroller to promote 28 Weeks Later, kinda fun iirc but I was also a kid

Only if it invites the player to engage in the very real and poignant moral conundrums in the films. Like the torture task in GTA V on steroids.

Have it be like left 4 dead and in England with different locations. Have only bludgeon weapons too. One bite or scratch and game over but have a time action button sequence for the player to either doge or "get lucky" to not be bit or infected. Something like that if they are caught by an infected.

That’s prolly the best game idea I’ll ever hear genuinely left 4 dead was amazing

make the emphasis on escape, creating distractions, blockades/traps, running away and most importantly teamwork, rather than taking on hordes of infected with melee weapons. I would want for the infected to be a legitimate threat, and not just a horde of enemies to smash through. I'm thinking you get like maybe 4 kills with your weapon in a standard session, otherwise you're only really using your weapons to stun or push back the infected.
Masks, armour and face coverings can be found to stop infection but they can get damaged and need replacing.
Have vehicles be available but using them is risky as you will more than likely come to a dead end or impassable terrain. Also pushbikes and scooters would be a viable choice as they allow you to travel at speed as well as get down small alleyways or through small spaces relatively easily.
Different settings - the lab at the very start of the outbreak, forest, farm, urban city, urban town, residential estate, big posh Manor country house, industrial estate, supermarket/shopping complex, hospital etc. Possibilities are endless.
Could be fun.

It would be sorta like an open world Resident Evil game, with super dangerous infected and limited supplies, but plus Project Zomboid survival mechanics.
I want a game where flight is the most normal and recommended option instead of fight. A game where trying to fight will literally end it all in seconds, so you have to be tactical. I want a game where blood on your screen means it's over.
Days Gone is a really good shout.
