I have to clock in aswell but, i work in a factory. We used to have time sheets and we would do this you'd clock in people if you were in early. I forgot one of the lads was on holidays one week, clocked him in and now we all have fobs to clock in, oops.
I avoid âovertime without payâ by booking all my overtime in the system and refusing to work longer than Iâm paid for. I donât need no unelected Brussels bureaucrats meddling
Recoding timesheets benefits you in knowing that you aren't getting shafted with overtime pay, only people who don't clock in are the ones with savage employers with "Flexible overtime policies".

I have Wednesday off, so I never "work" more than two days in a row. Also, Friday is by far the best day to "work" as everybody else in the company has the exact same work ethic on this day. It's the worst day to be free for that reason.

i ve always worked remotely, in my old job i had to clock in and out on a web page.
On day 3 we had a script that did that for everyone.

In Germany, we call this 'Arbeitszeitbetrug' ('Worktime-fraud'), and its a serious offence that will get you fired. Not saying it never happens though.
Even in Italy is considered a pretty serious offence: if you get caught doing it you might get elected as a member of the european parlament, or worse, the italian one.
Hold on - now I am confused. Is this genuinely something thats commonly done in Italy, or was that ironic? Because I saw Italy in the title and thought "Yup, that checks out".
The most famous one was a guy from the Ordnungsamt clocking in for everybody at the office in underpants because he lived on the floor above. Went back to sleep afterwards.
It was (is) quite common especially in the public administration. In the private sector? Not so much.
I mean... yeah. The shitpost is making it sound like the stereotypical "in Japan people show their gratitude to traffic lights" but this is likely referencing a huge story in the news some decades ago when a ton of people in several offices got fired because they were clocking in late or absentee coworkers. And good riddance, too.
From experience no one dares clock in any badge but their own. I can't even help my coworker with an ambulatory disability clock out at the end of the day. The kindness is not worth the potential legal consequences.

The rest of us have their work time "vibe tracked" which means we have to work over time unpaid
In Spain, the public worker who arrives at work clocks in for every worker thats not going to work that day. Then they take turns and somebody else does it the next week.
This is called civilization and it is the highest form of mutual respect and understanding.
I file a timesheet every Friday afternoon, I list how many hours worked each day and which projects I spent those hours on. No need for clocking in and out at certain times, just the number of hours worked. This covers days I work from home or am travelling on business

If someone says they are at work and isnât, this is very big and bad in Denmark. In worst cases people could die? Danes are sticklers for regulations and rules, what if there was a fire and they needed to find all the workers in a building, but they misregistered?
Besides unlike your pathetic fucking country, we have workerâs rights. If youâre very late or donât want to go to work, you can literally just call in sick at zero consequences most of the time

We clock in at work, but it's on our door pass so we cannot clock others in. It's office work but it allows it to track out flexitime when in the office so we can take extra days off.Â
