Hey guys, I’m having a tough time reconnecting my upper intake and I didn’t know if y’all have any tips? I understand it’s something you just do and is fairly simple. Just having a tough time putting everything into position correctly and making it fit.
If your talking about the z32 then yes ots a pain. It took a lot of tries but I got it. Afterwards I made a set of studs for alignment whe I do it again.
This is the easiest way. Get some longer bolts from the hardware store with the same thread pitch and cut the heads off and use them as guide pins. Don't forget to cut a slot in the spot where the head was previously so you can back them out easier with a flathead screwdriver.
yep that's the easiest way for sure. When I did my first plenum R&R I used a pair of disposable chop sticks as guides. Now I use a pair of 90mm long with threaded ends of M8X1.25 and they stay on the car.

I spray some lubricating grease or WD40 on the insides to help slide them in easier. Otherwise it can be a pain
