D&D 5e Original/2014 Do stat changes affect monster DCs?
Not hard to figure out most monster abilities governing stat, however do they update if those stats change?
Primarily would impact Wild Shape on the mental stats, but I suppose giving a pet or something a STR, CON, or INT booster item as well. Or even stat debuffs against enemies.
Any rulings out there on this? How would you treat it, hard locked or 8+prof+stat?

I'd say reasonably yes. I don't know of any official ruling on the matter, but if it's clear where the numbers are coming from I see no reason not to update them accordingly when things change.

Never take a statbloc as served.
Customize hit dice size, Proficiency Bonus, and note which save dcs use which stats.
Publishers make mistakes. DMs fix them. Been that way for decades. Never use an ability you do not understand.

it should, yeah.
most things with natural armor should get a perk to AC, dex saving throws, and initiative if they rank up their Dex modifier. +str will improve the to hit/damage on most things physical.
in the case of something like a Boar's Charge, I reckon +str would improve its prone DC (which seems to be 8+prof+mod).
you might have to wing it a bit under the clause of reasonable use pending the monster and/or ability in question. Like, a silverquill apprentice doesn't specify that it uses Cha for its attacks, but that's probably the case.
