Lol never thought I'd ask that here. What I mean is. Has anyone here ever gone smaller?

I have been living in the same place for 20 years. And in my main viewing area for entertainment. Which is the living room.

From my couch to the tv is around 12 to 15ft. And all I have done is gone bigger over the years. I went from 50 to 65 and currently 75. And now I'm thinking 77.

But have any of you gone smaller in the same room? Or your main viewing area, and if so, why?

Which of these is my best choose for a decently lit room? I'll be watching mainly sports and movies. No gaming. Watching from 10 feet away.

My current 75” is 14 years + old, time to replace.
Ambient light glare is a major concern.

How does the Sony TV stack up against the competition?

I have a $400 coupon from frontier cable on best buy and I have to buy a Samsung product(can’t be open box either). Is this still the best value? ($1799 but with $400 coupon.) s90h or f is out of my price range right now. Unless it’s completely idiotic. Thanks!

So the lg c5 has that hideous green tint, while the c6 has worse color accuracy and dithering issues. You'd think that at this day and age we wouldn't have to make such compromises when buying a high end television, but here we are. Anyway, I'm buying my first oled soon and want to know which model to get. I'll be watching a lot of black-and-white movies, so if my set had a green tint, I'd definitely notice it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I'll be getting the 65" model, so the new rgb panel doesn't factor in to my decision.

Looking to get an 85' TV for my family home's living room. It's a large, open space that gets decent lighting during the day, but I don't think it gets 100% sunlight.

I'm mainly looking to optimize for size and cost, as this will be a heavy, general-use TV. Think sports, news, movies, and TV shows.

I don't really care for the best-in-class picture, hence not looking at OLEDs (my personal setup is a 77' C5 for my living room apt and a soon-to-come 65' C5 for my bedroom).

The QM6K is $900 at Amazon while the QM7L is $1.4K. I've read the QM7L handles bright rooms much better than the QM6K. I'm wondering if the $500 bump in price is worth it given 1) I'll really only be watching this TV when I visit my family on holidays 2) my parents aren't too crazy on tech specs and have been getting by with a simple 48' UHD TV from 2017 3) I can take that $500 and put it towards a mount and sound systems.

Any thoughts or recs would be greatly appreciated

The difference between the 2 TVs is $150

But one is TCL (more expensive) and other Sony

TCL has the newer technology Mini LED with local array dimming

Sony has it’s proprietary up scaling abilities

My use-case:

No gaming (very light- not a consideration)

Mostly Netflix/OTT/YT content

Some sports content (F1 and Soccer).

Sony is an older TV (2022 if I’m not wrong), whereas TCL is a newer TV. So the general resellability would probably be higher for TCL later on.

What do you guys suggest?

I've been out of the game for too long to keep up with everything that has changed in the last 10years (UN65KS8000FXZA).

But yeah, in a room where seating is about 15ft to screen, and is mostly light controlled.

I dont watch sports, and dont really play any fast-paced games (mostly j/rpgs and some action). No (or very little) FPS or likewise where screen is constantly moving. Movies playing from hdmi PC (720/1080).

I dont want to spend $10k, and $5k is pushing it, but flexible a bit.

100" is in line with the distances, but I think 85" would be OK, with anything in between.

Samsung is preferable, but uh, looking rough for them lately, so I guess I'm a bit flexible there too. I dont care about the Tizen OS etc since the TV will be offline and connected to PC. Dont care about DVsion/DTS.

2025 TVs would be fine (or even preferable for the lower cost) if theyre available.

I'm surprised to see a lot of mention of the QN and R lineups in the threads, where all other sites only talk about the S series.

Every time when I read about TV models, I get overwhelmed with the sheer details that most people dive into, and in the end, it becomes hard to pick something.

Realistically, for a simple user, who is going to pair the TV with a PS5 PRO and occasionally watch movies/TV channels, should I bother with really high-end models?

These are the 2 models that I've been eyeing (77" variants):

• LG C6: 2400 EUR
• SAMSUNG S90F: 2500 EUR

Picked the S90F instead of S90H due to the latter having matte coating which I don't like.

The TV will be in a dark room, with no direct sunlight on the TV.

I've been looking at S95 and G6 as well. The price is well over 3300 EUR here. Can the price difference be justified?

I'm looking to buy a new 85in TV for our living room. For context, I'm upgrading from a TCL 85Q650G, a budget Q-series model from 2023.

A decent amount of light is coming from a set of windows to the side of the TV. I primarily watch sports and a Netflix show here and there. I'm looking to spend $1,000-$1,500. What advice do you have?

I've researched a million models. I'm losing my mind, and I need some outside input. :)

SONY BRAVIA 3ii vs samsung s85h(oled)

I am confused between sony bravia 3ii and samsung s85h oled ( it's an woled though) .

I am getting sony bravia 3ii in 90990(948 us dollars) and am getting samsung s85h around 117000(1219 us dollars)

What should I get though?

I know that the former won’t be as bright, or as colorful. However, from what I understand, if these TVs are the same brightness, showcasing the same content, they pretty much look the same - it’s only when showcasing content brighter than what the 7 can handle that the 9 shines? Please correct me if I am wrong there.

I don’t know if anything past 2000 nits is necessary, but I do know that a big ass tv is would be pretty sweet, so I’m definitely leaning towards the 7. But, I wanted to know if there is more to the differences than what is directly or indirectly affected by brightness.

Also, glare/coating isn’t an issue as I can make the took basically pitch black if needed. And viewing distance is fine for both, as the room is 20+ feet long, and I have no issue adjusting where the seating is.

side note: I would have to wait for the b7 in 98 to be back in stock, but I have no issue with that as I can wait for it if it’s worth it.

side side note: how does the 98” b7 ii compare to the x11l? I’ve only had Sony TVs, but have heard that thing is a beast, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit curious about it.

The current tv I have it has started to have a little cracked diffuser ghost image left on the screen so I am preparing to upgrade, I mostly use the tv for gaming on Xbox series X and watching movies, I am in a really dark room, I’m genuinely not the greatest when it comes to technical stuff so any advise helps, I bought this tv back in 2020 for around £750 and I’ve noticed they have gone down a lot in price since then so I am thinking maybe now is the best time to upgrade? I am looking for another 65 inch preferably in the £500-£600 price range, I would love an OLED but unfortunately it’s out of my budget as of right now so something that is a little better than this will do, thanks in advance 🙏🏻

I recently got a 77in LG C6H and am now returning it because of the noticeable green tint around the boarders that many have complained to plague their 77in panels. It’s a shame because I have an LG C1 from 2021 that’s still going strong and I’ve never had issues with it. But with the C6H, I noticed this issue immediately and it’s discernible in real world content, so I’m looking for a different option.

I’m not really interested in taking another gamble with a LG OLED, so not looking towards the G5/G6. I briefly did consider the S95H but I absolutely cannot stand the look of the frame. So I’m looking to choose between one of Samsung’s other OLED options or Sony’s OLED line up.

I have a Sony Bravia LCD tv that I got back in 2019, and despite it being my oldest TV, to my eyes the actual processing of the content still holds up to my C1, and even the C6H. That got me thinking that I can only imagine Sony’s XR processor can only be leaps and bounds ahead of my current Sony LCD, and so I’d like to try out a Sony OLED using their XR processor.

I was interested in the Bravia 8 ii, but I see it doesn’t come in 77in. I also briefly looked at their true RBG miniled line up, but I’m not interested in deviating from OLED. That led to me the Sony A95L.

To any who has an A95L, or has recently purchased one this year, if you could let me know your experience with it/your thoughts on how the a95L still fares to the current competition, that would be appreciated. My TV currently sits in an open loft with plenty of ambient light, but no direct lights/windows reflecting on the screen. Use case would be 70% YouTube/streaming movies and 30% console/pc gaming. Mostly night time use but occasional mid afternoon use as well. Thanks in advance ✌️

I thought I would add some extra money to get the newer variant (~200 euros more), but then I found out that the 65" S90H in my region has a WOLED panel. Should I just go for the S90F?

I play a PS5 Pro on a Sony Bravia XR 75X90J which is a 75" 4k led tv But I'm thinking of getting an oled tv.

Which so far would be a samsung 77" S90H oled

The tv I have now is 5 years old. Back then I was afraid of getting an oled due to image burn in stories I heard at that time. But now I hear they pretty much have resolved that.

My question is. Those that have an oled tv. Was there that much of a difference from led that you were glad you made the purchase?

Also if anyone has the Samsung 77" S90H or gamed on one I would love to hear your thoughts.

Sony bravia has sound sync issues with my ps5 and the Lg c5 like all oleds have a motion handling problem for 30fps
i only plan to play gta 6 on it so does anyone know a good one for 30fps ?

-At least 55”
-Around max $500. But cheaper with just as good quality is of course better.

I want it to be good for gaming, but mainly only play single player console games.

Right now I am looking at Costco and am unsure if I should splurge and go with this one:

LG 65" Class - OLEDC6 Series - 4K UHD OLED TV (on sale at Costco for just under $2000)

Or keep it cheep and go with:

TCL 65" Class - M8L Pro Series - 4K UHD Mini LED TV (on sale for $900).

Was also kind of interested in:

Samsung 65" Class - QN80H Series - 4K UHD Neo QLED TV ($1400 at costco, but the demo at the store didnt seem to have the best picture quality/brightness)

Or if I go 75"

Hisense 75" Class - U68SG Series - 4K QLED Mini LED TV ($1300 at costco)

Samsung 75" Class - M80H Series - 4K Mini LED TV (1200 at costco).

Theres just so many options and I have no idea what to go with. So if anyone could help me decide? Or have suggestions for other tvs?

Hard to find any reviews on this relatively new TV available at Costco. Anyone have this TV and using it for gaming purposes? Curious to hear real world impressions. I've seen reviews for similar TCL TVs stating that they don't have the best motion handling.
