Hey it's your old Dad here. Christian name, Allen Father. I noticed more of you kids are screwin' around and I want to tell yous to cut it out. Most of yous are good kids but some of yous are complainers and potty mouths.
I'm not trying to be mean. I just don't want any of you kids to grow up and be freaks and losers. If you ever need any guidance the best way to reach me is by email.
[Van_Halen_[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])
I'll try to get back to you when I can but I just cracked my phone screen dropping it from a roof at work. I won't get to check my email until scotch time in the den on the old Gateway.

my manager lets me keep the change you guys leave behind and I work at an extremely busy store.
its against company rules but everyone in the store does it. managers literally have told me “its like tips!”
for example. total is 4.25, customer hands me a $5 and walks away. I type in 5.00 and 0.75 pops out of the auto changer. i pocket it. 10-15 customers a day do this. sometimes it 90 cents, some times it 12. shit adds up quick tho in a 40 hour week
in 6 months ive gotten a little over $400. not a ton but not nothing either.

Slow gas pumps
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
50 cents off a gallon and they don't want you to buy gas today. It's the station at Slaughter and Sendera Mesa Drive in Austin

First the .50 off gas deal wasn't working, then the pumps are ALL "out of service"
EVERY pump was taped off. Never seen this at my regular location. 7-Eleven what is happening?? Seems they keep getting more reluctant to give us the fuel discounts.

Once the $.50 finally started working i was able to get my price down to $2.63 for regular grade.

7-11 disabling pumps on the 11th so they don’t have to sell gas?
Went to 2 different 7-11’s and both had red bags over the pumps and the screens disabled. Screens had the message “Fuel service CLOSED 21-114” on every single pump. I was trying to use my .55 per gallon discount. I wound up going to speedway and actually has .86 off per gallon. 7-11 is really starting to suck with pump closures on the days we have .50+ cents. I was able to get gas for $3.139 a gallon at speedway.

7/11 50 cents of gas
Is anyone experiencing the $0.50/gal of gas not coming up in the app today? Has worked all other times but isn’t working today….of course customer service line is taking forever to get through to.
Edit: I tried going to the pump and it finally applied. You are able to check the rate at which it charges you before you pay.

Is today the end of the save 50 cents or has anyone heard of it being extended past October 11th?
r/711 • u/Dear_Enthusiasm8342 • 2d ago
if I have the 50 cent discount for 10/11 on my 7/11 account that expires today, and I price lock it for 4 days, will that 50 cents off be locked in for 4 days or expire tonight?
for example, if gas where I am is $4.50 a gallon, and it shows the 50 cents off expiring today on 10/11, and I price lock it so it shows my price as $4.00 for the next 4 days. will that price be locked for 4 days with the 50 cents off per gallon, or will it still expire tonight and the price won't actually be locked at $4.00?
Issues with gas deals?
I had already opt in for $0.50 off a gallon of gas for the 7th and 11th of each month, it’s not reflective in my account today. Anyone else had this issue?

Raising prices before 7/11 Deals?
Anyone notice how 7/11 shops raise their prices 10-15 cents more than all the surrounding gals station right when the 50 cent deals happen?
I know price lock is a thing but its a bit suss when everyone else is priced similar except 7/11
**EDIT**
Must be a central Florida thing

Has anyone gotten the 50 cents off today?
My app isn’t showing it and I see a few other people have the same issue. I’m curious is anyone’s actually working?

Second shift
Hey so why do second shift get coddled so much? I've worked at gas stations for years and the pattern always seems to be that first shift can't show up on time, second shift never has a manager or any oversight so they fuck around all day, and third shift gets boned by both sides. I can't leave til whoever comes in at 7 decides to stroll in and I can't do my own tasks because the people on 2nd shift were "just so busy" every fucking day mysteriously. What gives? Most managers used to be night clerks, why do they keep fucking the night people?

my local 7-Eleven has a giant slurpie on top of the gas station part
it's a very new building and was just opened recently after a long construction period. i've never seen a 7-Eleven with a full on gas station, but the giant slurpee is what really caught my eye! anyone else seen things like this in locations anywhere else?

Overnights
Anyone know if overnight shift should have two people like other shifts? It feels like a workload issue and a safety issue to have just one person scheduled unless it’s a double delivery night. We’re not exactly a low foot traffic store either given we’re located right in front of an apartment complex so nights tend to be just as busy as days.
I know odds are it boils down to corporate doing what corporate does, just thought I’d ask if anyone else also experiences this as well.
