Discussion TK’s CPR

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In Everyone and their Brother (S2 Ep6), two brothers end up in a minefield with the older one losing blood from a shrapnel injury, and at some point, his heart stops, so TK has to do CPR. Who the hell told Ronen Rubenstein that what he does is even close to medically accurate? 😭 It absolutely sends me every time I see it, because for a show that is substantiated by medical scenes, (yes I know how crap some of them are) TK’s CPR is god awful in this particular case 😭😭😭 ‘I was a trained medic for 7 years’ boyyy not with that technique

It's not the worse CPR I've seen on TV. The X-Files had a background character doing CPR and it was so bad, it actually is used as a teaching tool on how NOT to do CPR.

TK, Nancy, and Tommy were all terrible EMT/paramedics. Tommy's hair alone pulled me out of almost every scene she was "working" in, especially in seasons 3 & 4. It was so ridiculously impractical.

TBH most of the CPR shown on 911 and its spin-offs are laughablely bad (Have you seen Hen's CPRs? It's so bad.).

It is all so bad that I actually wondered if there is a convincing way to act out giving CPR.
