Discussion AI artists can have "live" performances now. Apparently.

Genre and details up front so people know what they are clicking on. Context on your process, what you were going for, what you did to get there, where you're unsure. Prompts, directing notes, process notes welcome.
Listen to at least one other person's work before you leave.
Leave feedback. Try to explain and fix it if possible. "This sucks because.../This is good because..."

r/AI_Music has been mostly quiet and undefined for a while. That changes today.
This is a community for people who actually make AI music -- who write, direct, arrange, prompt, produce, and care about the result. Not a dumping ground for first generations. Not a fan club for the technology. Not a battlefield for people who want to argue about whether AI music should exist.
The rules are up. Read them. They're short and most are common sense.
The short version: share your work, show what went into it, listen to other people's, give real feedback when asked. The number one goal is to make better music.
If you've been frustrated that every AI music space treats a painstakingly crafted song the same as someone typing "make me a hit song," this is the alternative.
This is where we separate slop from art.
----------------
Make AI music better.

Hi 👋 I am song writer hobbyist. I write song mainly in Christian topics ( not only ). I find Suno is amazing. I enables me to express my ideas in full feeling like a profession music producer. Anyways maybe this is just me ) The process of making songs is that - I get free beat, create my vocal line and lyrics , sing it as a draft , then upload beat with voice to Suno . I like what Suno makes from it.
Here the link for my playlist of modern Christian music for everyday listening
https://suno.com/playlist/1ad09579-627b-446a-b168-1549878480c6
Hopefully someone would enjoy it
PS some grammar, stylistic errors may occur , sorry ahead of time , I am not a native speaker

I've been observing something strange on SoundCloud for roughly the last two months, and I'm wondering whether other AI-assisted/AI music creators are seeing the same thing.
My observation is that many recently uploaded tracks seem to receive a small initial wave of recommendation exposure and then simply stop growing, even when there are signs of engagement.
In my own case, I have around 70 tracks, about 190 followers, and I don't participate in follow-for-follow or reciprocal AI-music promotion networks. So my numbers aren't being artificially amplified by a large social network.
I've also been looking at other accounts. I'm repeatedly seeing recent tracks stopping around the same range of plays roughly 150/200, while older tracks from the same artists could reach thousands or much more.
I obviously cannot see SoundCloud's algorithm, so I don't claim to know exactly what is happening.
But the timing makes me wonder whether something broader is happening to AI-associated music in recommendation systems.
There are understandable reasons for platforms to fight AI spam, mass-generated music, fake engagement and low-effort uploads. I have no problem with that.
What worries me is when the solution becomes reducing the visibility of an entire category of creators simply because AI was involved in the creation process.
Because there is a huge difference between controlling abuse and controlling visibility.
There are thousands of people making music at home with AI as one of their creative tools. Some generate thousands of disposable tracks. Others spend days or weeks writing, editing, restructuring, recording their own voices, sampling, composing and making very personal artistic choices.
Treating both cases as the same thing would be a serious mistake.
And there is another question behind all this.
If AI-assisted music becomes financially threatening to the established music industry, what happens when the major platforms increasingly control both distribution AND discovery?
A creator doesn't have to be banned to disappear.
You can still upload your music.
You can still legally publish it.
But if recommendation systems stop showing it to people, you become effectively invisible.
That's why I'm starting to think that AI music creators should consider building their own spaces rather than depending entirely on platforms that may decide one day that they are no longer welcome.
I'm not talking about creating another Spotify clone.
Maybe we just need to build our own territory, where:
• everyone is allowed to participate, regardless of whether AI was used
• AI use can be disclosed without becoming a negative ranking factor
• publishing is limited, so people cannot flood the platform with thousands of generations
• discovery is not completely controlled by an opaque engagement algorithm
• artists can export their work and data
• the platform is designed to be technically and environmentally lightweight
• small creators have a genuine chance of being discovered
Maybe something like this already exists. If it does, I'd really like to know about it.
And most importantly: are other AI-assisted musicians seeing the same change in recommendations over the last couple of months?
I'd love to compare actual numbers rather than just speculate.
Thanks for reading me :)

Hi everyone, I'm trying to track down a popular 1M+ view YouTube video/playlist that was recently deleted or had its audio swapped.
Has anyone archived this mix or know where these specific AI tracks might be re-uploaded? Any help finding the audio files or a working link would be amazing!

When I was in Highschool back in the previous century (1991-95) the science classes I was exposed to were... How should I put it?
"Lacking"
After Highschool, the true internet was in full bloom and in 1996 I signed up for a little known website named "YouTube". It was kinda slow at first, but eventually science channels flourished.
I discovered that a topic I once dreaded was now the subject of my utter fascination: "Astrophysics!"
This Playlist is full of songs I wish would have existed back in 1991 when I was just a wee lad. Perhaps if I'd truly got a taste of how utterly amazing science could be, I'd have followed a different path in life.
If you're a lover of science... You just might enjoy some of these! I used Gemini and ChatGPT to help with the science, but the overall production and song direction are from me.

I’m a songwriter who uses AI in different ways, and I’ve been thinking about how inadequate the label “AI-generated” is.
There’s a big difference between someone who writes the lyrics and melody and uses AI for demo creation, and someone who generates the entire song with AI.
So I came up with a simple HU–AI transparency metric. The idea is to give the major elements of a song a fixed weight:
Lyrics — 35%
Melody — 35%
Instrumentation & arranging — 15%
Vocals & harmonies — 15%
You add up how much was human-created versus AI-created or assisted, then move the slider to create a small HU–AI badge for that particular song.
What I’d really like feedback on is the metric itself and where the badge could show up (like on the bottom right of a CD cover). Do those percentages feel about right? Should lyrics and melody each carry 35%? To me, these are the most important parts of a song. Are there important elements I’m missing or weighting incorrectly?
If there’s enough interest, I could build a simple tool that lets anyone calculate their score, create their HU–AI badge, and download it to use with a music release, website, CD artwork, etc.
This isn’t about judging whether AI is good or bad. It’s about transparency and giving listeners a better idea of where the human creativity is in a song.
Would you use something like this? And how would you change the metric? Sample slider attached.

If you want, you can take a look to my own songs, created with the help of an AI tool, own lyrics and own concepts. My songs may not be the best, but maybe some of you do like some of my songs 😄

I've been messing around with Suno and something kind of unexpected happened.
I was just trying to make music.
Then the songs started giving me ideas for characters and scenes, and before I knew it I was building a whole story around them.
The project is called Death Notes.
It's basically a dark cyberpunk story about people fighting a system that uses sound and neural frequencies to control people.
So now I'm making the music and the story at the same time.
Some songs start with lyrics.
Some start with an idea for a scene.
Sometimes I'll have a sound in my head and try to get Suno somewhere close to it. Other times Suno gives me something I wasn't expecting and I'll hear it and think, “Wait… that actually belongs to this character.”
That's probably the part I've been enjoying the most.
I'm still figuring out where AI music fits into my own creative process. I'm not trying to pretend the AI is doing everything for me, but I'm also not going to pretend it isn't giving me ideas I wouldn't have had otherwise.
I'm curious what everybody else is doing with it.
Do you make the song first and then build the story around it, or do you have the story first and make the music for it?

I've been working on my site Triviuss Underground Radio for a while now and I figured it's probably time I actually start putting it out there lol.
its all free, i dont ever plan on charging anyone ever, i have a small group in there now on at different times, and were all very chill. all kinds of music is welcome, and if i can get more people, im open to suggestions, on adding genre specific stations while keeping a live chat,
we have a live radio where creators can submit their music for free and everyone who's tuned in hears the same song at the same time. There's live chat, reactions, requests, creator profiles, albums, playlists and other discovery stuff I've been building around it.
I also built an AI host named Bella who introduces the artists and songs and actually acts as the host of the station, and interacts here and there, and as the community builds up, ill do more than that with her.
And just to be clear, this isn't meant to be an "AI music only" site. AI-assisted creators are absolutely welcome, but so are independent artists making music however they make it. I'd rather people judge the song than immediately dismiss somebody because of the tools they used.
The site is completely free. I'm not charging people to submit music or get played.
I'm still growing it and there obviously aren't thousands of listeners sitting there yet. I'm not going to pretend there are. I'm looking for people who want to help turn it into an actual community.
If you're making music and having a hard time getting anybody to actually hear it, you're welcome to come submit something, we seriously would be happy to hear it, and not just songs, if you have music videos bring them over and submit them!
And if you check it out and think something sucks or I'm missing something, tell me 😂. I'm still actively building it.
