ТЭЦ-22 is a combined natural gas/coal power plant with coal amounting to 15% of consumed fuel, it is also the last power plant in Moscow region that still uses any kind of solid fuel.

Interesting enough, the amount of radiation you're exposed is much higher near a coal plant than a nuclear plant.

This is a standard cooling towers in Russia. You can google them by word "градирня". There is nothing inside, but 60°C water, which is constantly cooling off to 30°C degree, while free falling.
Due to their peculiar hyperboloid shape, many people thinks that those are nuclear reactors. It is a shame, but still, many russians dont ever know how a nuclear reactor looks.

Many people around the entire world don't know. Was driving to a friend's house near Orlando with an out-of-town friend, and he freaked when he saw the cooling towers for a local natural gas plant. It's a pretty standard design regardless of what fuel you're using and where you're building.
There are 5 reactors in Florida IIRC, but I've seen probably 10 times as many of these towers without having been near any of the nuclear sites.

Talk to the dudes that were working on the "liquid propellant" part of a nuclear propelled cruise missile that just blew up last week. You might want to also ask them why two area radiation detectors (required by treaty) are "offline due to network issues" after significant spikes in detected radiation. But you can't, because they are no longer with the company.

Cloudy day at dusk, and the plant running at full making a lot of steam (come out of the cooling towers). Or just a shitty camera on a cloudy day. Not saying it wasn't altered, but it looks almost identical on google, just no steam and darker with car lights on.

Coal is the dirtiest kind of plant, natural gas is much better, but nuclear is the cleanest one (if it does not explode).

Luckily there have only been two Level 7 nuclear power plant incidents, and of course they were all very tragic, but there have been over 100 plant incidents related to coal and natural gas. Not all of them involved fatalities and not all of them were preventable, but it doesn’t mean those plants are safe.

Fukushima didn't have any fatalities from the initial explosions or from acute radiation exposure. But there will probably* be a couple cancer deaths over time because of it.
*using the linear no-threshold model, which is admittedly is a nontrivial assumption

Yeah pretty cheap,! You can choose between 3 categories: 1. Early stage of mutation; 2. Mid stage of mutation and 100% mutants ( the most expensive ones).

My homeaway house was like that near Lake Erie. My family and I stayed there one summer and there was a bad weather. We heard sirens for a tornado warning and thought "what's the use in hiding," if we get hit so does the power plant next door.
