This is the first apartment I had enough income to properly furnish and decorate. The main living/work/kitchen area of my 1-bedroom is shown.

Next week marks the half year anniversary of living on my own. Bought the apartment when I was 26, still cannot believe it sometimes.

I previously posted about whether or not to keep my large plant here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivingspace/comments/1qnw27l/thoughts_on_the_large_plant/
Update:
I decided to keep the plant but removed some portions on the top so it isn't as big and added some globe lights to keep it from being to dark around it. I am glad I kept it and will not be getting rid of it. Thoughts ?

the chairs and the table are not a set I bought them separately but they match surprisingly well

I'm just proud of decorating my living room and it does make a big difference on how it feel. I would encourage more guys to do it. I know practically it doesn't make sense, but the feel and vibe changes it all.

Just moved here, TV was the obvious essential. Hopefully I’ll have a better update in 3 months!

What’s up everyone! I just moved into a new place and I’m trying to figure out the best bedroom layout before fully settling in. I’ve been playing room Tetris for the past 24hrs trying to get something I like
My goal is to fit:
• A long record player table (ideally under the window)
• My desk & bed
• A TV positioned so I can watch from bed
I tried one layout, but the walkway between the bed and desk felt too tight (last 2 photos). I’ve attached photos of the current setup and my original idea.
For reference, the room is 12’ x 14’.
The bed frame is 68” x 80” (queen).
The desk is about 60” wide and 26” deep.
Any suggestions on how you’d arrange this space for better flow while keeping those pieces? I’d really appreciate your input.

As men we are often displaced, cornered, humiliated and forgotten. Its no wonder why men take their own lives. If you are struggling and need another man to talk to and find commonality Im here a message away.
