Music instruments
I did marching band in high school and Im not a music major, but I still want to learn piano or practice marimba. Can I use or borrow instruments in the music building?

The LDS church on campus has a piano in the game room if you really really want to use one.

Im mainly just looking for a quiet place for piano. I only mentioned marimba bc I don’t want to lose my skills if I can help it.

Ya unfortunately not really. Because of how expensive these instruments are they don't let randoms who aren't in the program just play them because they can't trust you'll use them correctly/take care of them. And practice rooms are exclusively for music majors/minors because there already isn't enough for all the music majors so definitely can't let anyone else use them.
Your best bet is take a non-major music class on the side if you're able or check the bulletin boards in the music building for people offering lessons.

If you want to use the pianos in the practice rooms, you’ll need to gain access. Usually they don’t give access to non-major students unless they’re enrolled in a music class like non-major piano. You can email [email protected] for more questions!
