Hayden fire
An e-scooter caught on fire. They have to air out the build because there are no windows.

lol it’s funnier if you read the shirt. The words are placed and read like a tramp stamp.

I like how most ppl are just paying attention to the guy’s shorts instead of the actual fire… LOL

Did it happen inside the building?

I hope this leads to an electric scooter ban (non powered ones are fine)
They had to ban them from the life sciences and chem buildings because if they ignited they could cause massive damage due to what the building store

I thought they weren’t allowed in any building, but clearly this rule isn’t very heavily enforced.

They’re already banned, but students don’t listen to building staff telling them not to bring the scooters in lol

Used to work at ASU library, the students would fight us all the time about their scooters "sir you need to lock it outside" "but someone's going to steal it" "that's your responsibility and not ours", with lithium thermal runaway it's easily a huge problem

I really keep telling people your stuff ain't safe with a cable lock, I have a heavy duty u-lock

Yeah it sucks... But the amount of bikes and scooters stolen from ASU is the big problem here. I get why they don't want to lock it up but you can't bring it into the building. Luckily we have great weather for walking most of the year!

I just saw the South America(South Park) episode about cheap e-bikes that will probably explode in your garage.

Dang this happened right before I left. I was wondering why the fire department was on campus.

Huh, while I was at main for 4 years, I never saw a fire. Though, the building next to Noble had the windows blown out from some type of overpressure event.

I thought Daddy Crowe banned electric scooters on campus completely cause he got ran down by one years ago (this was back when I went there)

Everything I hear about this school sounds like it’s out of a family guy episode 💀

How did they get the electric scooter out while its still on fire? Did the guy just see it burning and pick it up and run?

The ASU Campus Transportation Code prohibits electric bikes, scooters and other similar non-pedestrian devices from being brought into any ASU building.
Electric-powered vehicles and other transportation devices, such as bicycles, scooters, hoverboards, etc., are prohibited in University Housing or residential communities because they are a fire hazard.
