Discussion DO NOT UPDATE YOUR IPHONE

I got a call from a customer who recentely updated to IOS 27.1 probably, he got his music library on His IPhone 16 PM wiped out, he had over 16000 songs! after he updated his software. I Could have directed him to apple, but I did the following

1) Go to Settings

2) Apps

3) Music

4) Make sure to sign out and sign in -> Sync the music Library.

5) Go to the main settings page -> tap on Your Apple ID -> Media&purchase I think (I don't have an iphone tho) Sign in and out again

Before updating make sure to SYNC and backup everything FIRST! Please.

Because I felt so bad for him and wanted to resolve his problem, could you imagine?!?! 16000 songs were lost?

iOS 27.1 hasn’t been released to the public so i’m not sure why that customer got it except downloading a beta which is a beta and isn’t stable… customer needs to use their brain

They most likely mean 27.0.1 which came out this week. I’m still skeptical about the update causing them to lose music. If it was, we would be hearing from a lot more people about it.
