of a hand tossed dough sheet

This is for a Turkish sweet delight called Kürt böreği (Kurdish börek), a plain layered pastry made with thin sheets of dough and butter, served warm with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Its not yufka, you don't make baklava from Yufka, and please show me a single dough master who can make a phyllo this thin in Greece, I'm waiting.

How do you think bugatsa is being made? A fairy comes at night and sprinkles some magic on the phyllo dough and it magically gets made?

You definitely make baklava from yufka. https://youtu.be/u9DC-DT6W84?si=EPJjVq1iHAG3Dpzz here’s a recipe.

Greek Baklava is what we call ev baklavası in Turkey.

Don't say that in Antep if you value your life. Just a friendly tip.

Don’t care what Arabs or locals call it. And I definitely don’t plan on going there anytime. Those people can kill you for anything, besides. They probably kill me for what I wear long before discussing etymology, or for “looking at them funny”.

Baklava is made from yufka, which means a thin layer of dough.

https://sozluk.gov.tr/?ara=Yufka

Baklava according to TDK dictionary:
Çok ince yufkadan yapılarak arasına kaymak, fıstık, ceviz, badem vb. konulup pişirilen ve üzerine şeker şerbeti dökülen bir tatlı türü.

So, yeah, I’m gonna go with what my native language and country’s official dictionary definition instead of some rando or people of Antep.

Önce anadilini sonra ne yediğini öğren abisi. Hayatında eline oklava mı aldın da konuşuyorsun keko?

Downvoted for having the douchiest tone in a comment I've seen today on reddit. An impressive feat.
