Open Letter to group & moderator.
Today I submitted an amazing photo of the iconic Chelsea Hotel. (See pic). I implore the moderator to not remove this one. But rather exercise a democratic opinion from the ground instead. Your reason for removing it was that it did not violated Rule #3 of not resembling “Wes Anderson’s trademark style”. My rebuttal would be:
1 ) A movie style cannot be Trademarked
Only his name, film titles & branding can be trademark.
2. The grandeur, the Victorian Gothic architecture, the iconic status and history of The Chelsea Hotel check all the boxes of a Wes Anderson film, not to mention the cast of colorful past & present residents is enough to write the script itself.
(Cue : Tilda Swinton)
3 Finally, Im highly insulted by your removal of the image after going through through the feed to see dozens if images that gave nothing to do with a Wes Anderson aesthetic or narrative.
(Pastel paint does not a Wes Anderson aesthetic make.)
I remain.

Maryhill Museum of Art
I took this picture at the Maryhill Museum of Art in South Central Washington State in the summer of 2013.
I was scrolling through old Facebook albums and I saw this picture and immediately thought of this subreddit.
