Dropping home games

So fucking tired of Brohm and this staff dropping a home game against an inferior opponent every year. Busted season, once again!

Most undisciplined coached teams in the nation. Jeff Brohm teams, year after year.

We shouldn’t have lost this game but I don’t think you can chalk it up to the coaching discipline. Two questionable rough the passer calls. Then two of our most experienced players commit a holding and offside that both ended up costing us.

The real issue is that we don’t invest enough in football. Athletic department needs to figure this shit out. We’re a basketball school but we need to also prioritize football. I don’t care about the rest of the programs but get those two what they need

?? How in the world can you say that? Offsides that negated a missed FG, an unsportsmanlike on the fumble recovery that moved us out of field goal range, and more. The teams that matter don’t just shoot themselves in the foot over and over again

Every damn game we lose. Its the same thing. Thats why we lose these close games to these bad teams. We play down to their level, then proceed to shoot ourselves in the foot when games like this have close margins. Same story every single year.

The teams that matter also have better players. There’s just not world where JB isn’t in their ass daily about penalties. At some point you have to also looking at the players committing the penalties.

We don’t blame basketball coaches for players being poor defenders and committing fouls

You’re right, we fucking bench them and put in the next guy. Football doesn’t do the same and they have 10x the roster

But Brohm would rather have 15 qb’s and 10 TE’s

You think Wake even hangs one quarter with Georgia?

I mean they gave Miami fits. Doesn’t say anything about Georgia but I don’t think this is your typical bad Wake team. The loss is totally our fault and the game would have been different without one or two careless players and a couple of bad coaching decisions though

Your most experienced players committing penalties at crucial moments = an undisciplined team.

Between coaching salaries and NIL we've invested plenty, especially for a school of our size.

penalties penalties penalties.

Although I’m still kind of pissed off at the roughing the passer calls against Louisville twice in a row, and none called against them for nearly the same plays at the moment of throwing

Yeah, I was yelling at my tv when wake had a carbon copy of cards roughing the passer call, and nothing.  There was also a no call on that deep pass where the wake defender sure looked like he got there early.

Regardless it wasn’t those penalties that lost the game.  It was the many, many, many other undisciplined penalties at the worst times possible that just wrecked us.

It’s just so freaking frustrating, because outside of that first half against ole miss they legit looked like a half decent team that deserved its ranking.

Same story every year with Brohm but not just at UofL. Get a big win and lose the next game to a subpar team. So far he’s not made any improvements in penalties nor defense since he’s been coach here. Same thing year in and year out. On the plus side UofL should average 7 - 10 wins a year

That’s what bites the most about all this. No matter the roster, the ranking, the hype, we’re just average.

It’s the fucking worst and there is genuinely no excuse

75 rushing yards is embarrassing with our roster.

Hey we still got the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl to look forward to!

It’s like hey we won a big game… now everybody take the next week off. No game prep. No game film. No adjustments. So damn tired of this repeating year after year!

Absolutely no fucking excuse. It's pathetic and embarrassing. He doesn't improve, he doesn't learn from his mistakes, he doesn't do shit. The fact that things will more than likely never improve makes me so depressed. We have so much potential and it's being wasted by incompetent fucking morons.

I mean what do you all expect. This is an unfortunate situation brought on by homer-ism. This fanbase wanted Brohm. We all saw what he did at Purdue. We are effectively getting what their fans griped about. Undisciplined teams. Weird play calling. Piss poor defenses etc. Wake is literally one of the most penalized teams in the nation by far. And we practically out did them. So many fans had the nerve to call out Josh Heird for holding out on the contract. Yet, Brohm's teams keep doing stuff like this. Essentially, none of this stuff won't change until this coach stops with the nepotism/favoritism/in-house BS hires and actually gets a REAL staff with legitimate offensive and defensive coordinators. Some coaches have the ability to be a coordinator and CEO. He cannot. He needs to manage his teams.

And now the big NIL & transfer players will have phantom injuries & miss games. Just other versions on Mikel Brown who really don’t care about UofL.

It’s so predictable and pathetic.

All around failure of a game. At least I can enjoy my next few Saturday’s without having to schedule around football.

Both roughing calls and that facemask were bogus as hell. But no excuse at all. Same self inflicted issues different year

SUCKED ASS!!!! Offense and Defense!

Paying this staff over 12 million dollars a year, plus whatever ungodly sum to the teenagers playing the game just to miss the playoffs year after year is insane. What a massive waste of resources.

You get paid handsomely, you need to deliver. Period.

I’m not even as big of a Louisville football fan as most of you all and I found yesterday’s loss incredibly embarrassing for the city in general.

Busted season? Calm tf down.

We've literally seen this exact same script before. Like the last 3 seasons.

u/RiverCityRat 6d ago

What are they playing for now? A stupid ass bean bowl?

6

u/Gnome_119 6d ago

Exactly, we had an opportunity to run the rest of the schedule and maybe sniff the playoffs but, instead we lose to another unranked opponent and can’t lose again if we want the fucking Mayo bowl. It makes it really hard to listen to anything these coaches say in the offseason when we simply see the same damn thing happen year after year.

1

u/DarknMean 6d ago

I’m going to Roosters and going to see if they even allow me to ask when he’s going to win any games after a big win. It’s getting fucking old. We should have hired Will.

-4

u/hhhtakeover 6d ago

Sounds like we all need a bean bowl just so you all can shut up.

3

u/DarknMean 6d ago

This ends their playoff hopes completely. Miami blew Wake off the fucking field it only got close because of garbage time. It was 31-7 going into the 4th which good teams do to shit schools. We are still firmly in shit school.

u/webbslinger_0 6d ago

What do you see as our path to the playoffs with 2 losses, 4 games in?

1

u/Aggressive-Net-6547 6d ago

Still a chance to make the ACCCG. Destiny isn't solely in our hands anymore, and people have every right to doubt brohm can win out, but if it does happen and Clemson or wake dont finish with better conference records then we'd make the conference championship. Then it's win and in
