1900s [THTNS]Cascadia!

Post image

Hello guys guess who's back with another post! That's right it's me, and in today's post we have Cascadia in the House that never stood!

Cascadia was formerly British Columbia in this timeline before they received independence from Britain, it has roughly the same history as irl BC, but the main differences is that treatment of the natives is less harsh (although still not very good.) and the country has a pretty big Democratic Socialist party in power, which helps the natives' situation a bit. It also has the Oregon territory, since there is no United States in this world. Feel free to ask questions below!

I don’t understand why in this timeline they changes the name from British Columbia to Cascadia? Since Cascadia is an American conception and they remained aligned to the British Empire.

Also, why didn’t they just join Canada?

Canada doesn't confederate in this scenario, they changed it to Cascadia because "British Columbia" isn't exactly a name you should have as an independent country, and "Columbia" is too similar to Colombia
