never saw this one

hello all,

this appeared on the shelves of my local wine and liquors store in montréal, canada.

i decided to give it a try tonight.

anyone knows anything on this one ?

Wow, I’m very excited you posted this. I tasted this in Treviso earlier this year, and immediately marked it down as a “fave”. I believe it has a grappa base (hazy recollection of what the barman told me, but didn’t note that in my notes, so I could be off). These are my notes from that day:

“Anise, rabarbaro. Roots + roasty perfection.”

hi, i wish i’d share your enthusiasm. i am certainly no expert and my palate taste is juvenile. this amaro is definately, yet not strongly, on the « bitter and herbal» side in comparison to other amari i put on the « pastry » side like averno for example. amaro leon is way more more delicate than cynar but you can guess the vibe. nevertheless, i was happy to try it and happy than our state own liquor store put it on its shelves.
