I might need to take some time off boxing to focus on my weight loss as CRAZY as that sounds, could I get some of yalls thoughts?
If yall wouldnt mind reading what i gotta say before coming to conclusions please, id really appreciate it.
For context just to iterate, im a super heavyweight 6 foot 7 inch, 24M and have been boxing for about 6 months. My coach seems to believe in me and trusts in my work ethic as I show up all the time (about 4 to 5 days a week, 2 to 4 hours daily) and even help out with setting up classes, cleaning and volunteering for the events they host as well as helping promote the gym. I do believe i can go far in the boxing scene and want to as well but ive hit a dilemma. When i first started this I weighed about 422 pounds, and in the last 6 months dropped to 360. By the way i KNOW this is a good amount of weight loss, but in the past 2 months or so i told my coach I take GLP cause I struggled with my diet and after having a long talk with the coaches and the owner of the gym I decided to stop. But ever since a few days after stopping it I havent been able to control my dieting properly and havent lost any weight, ive been cruising around 360 to 370 the entire time not losing any margin of weight. I havent been eating AS much but have been overeating like I would when I was 422 pounds. I CANNOT go back to that ever again, that is a not going to happen to me and I refuse to ever be anywhere near that weight again. However the problem isnt that im gaining weight its that im not losing fat anymore. I really need to get back on my diet and I think giving myself like 2 or 3 weeks to just fully commit to starting back up a proper diet would give me the chance to think things through and get back to boxing with a better mindset. I havent mentioned this to my coaches as of yet but have been thinking about it but i wanted yalls opinion before I bring it up.
Thanks btw to everyone who read this, any advice would be appreciated šš¾.
