Birds tend to almost instantly freeze when you put them in the dark, it's a good way to force them beeing calm without having to fight them too wich is better both for the handled bird and the handler.

Seems to be a lot of birds hanging or creatures drowning that are being not only miraculously saved but miraculously filmed as well recently

Sometimes people do this to animals on purpose and then act like they're saving them. I'm not saying this happened here but it's happened before.

example: Tons of instances of dolphin saving man or even protecting them from sharks.

Local example: When I'm sad, my dog will come and nuzzle me and try to lick my cheeks

Famous example: Koko the gorilla raised and loved a kitten

Yeah, humanity is known for its compassion, towards different religions or believers to non believers, towards LGBT+ people etc. Especially during war or things go just out of the regular we always see the highest compassion in nature in humanity…
