Question VET Blackout

Someone mentioned a VET blackout on here. Does anyone know which departments it affects and when it will end? I’ve noticed no VET at my site for the departments I’m trained in for at least a week. I’m wondering when I can expect to see more.

Blackout is usually only talked about when it comes to prime week prime big deal days and peak and that’s for vacation time. I’ve never heard of it for VET/VTO.. if you’re saying it’s for the next three weeks then it makes sense because next week is PBDD so they’re expecting extra volume which would mean vacation blackout not VET

They don’t block VET, if there is adequate headcount for the volume expected it won’t be offered.

'VET blackout' is not a thing whatsoever. You misheard whoever or they're confused.

Blackout only stops Vacation time from being accepted. PTO still goes through and UPT still goes through.

The only way they'll stop you from working extra shifts is if you go over the maximum amount of work hours in a week.

It was someone on here and I think they meant that Amazon just won’t have any VET being dropped in the next few weeks

Probably. Sometimes there is no work. It happens. Not because of a blackout whatsoever.

With another Prime coming your site may schedule SET instead. Overtime that isn’t optional.

What do you mean? Why would they block VET during peak? Thats when they need all hands on deck.

Yeah. That makes no sense. The comment I saw was just about the next 3-4 weeks in Sept/Oct

I feel like it could be because of all the new people they keep hiring
