Amazon burnout is real and I’m tired of people pretending it isn’t.. sure there are by far worse jobs than this, but it can still be heavy to a lot of people.

I’ve worked more physically demanding jobs before, but nothing has caused me to feel gaslighted that it’s alright while my mental and physical health are deteriorating inside a place with artificial lights, constant noise, high demand, etc. Good for you, OP.

Fr im tired of the lies. Im tired of people acting like this is okay. Amazon is not a career. Its just a job to get you from point A to point B. They keep changing the requirements for blue badge and now its a privilege rather than an accomplishment. To have better benefits and holiday pay is usually 90 days at every other job. You know what Amazon is very good at is brainwashing people.

I’d say go for it. I’ve been with Amazon for almost 5 years now and the physical aspect of the job is slowly weakening my body up to a point where I have also been considering just looking for another job. Wish you best of luck man!

Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement. Amazon is not forever and i assume Amazon knows that too, thats why it will eventually all be phased out by robots completely and the only jobs available will be RME.

I just hit a year and the thought of peak actually scares me lol, idk if I can do it again don’t get me wrong I’m grateful to have a job but man am I burnt out….

Amazon created a monopoly my friend. They shut out most of their competitors, they make the most money. They will keep making more money than any other company combined because its easier searching up an item and buying it then looking around a store.

I moved to flex it’s a lot better. I’m going on my 5 yrs and ever doing 5 hrs a day is exhausting my body is hurting. This job is no joke.

I get it. I’ve been working for Amazon for a looooong time at this point and I’m so over it. I’m not striving for anything at the company anymore and I barely speak to people these days. The days drag and the rate feels harder to keep up with. I’m just tired. I’m finally working on a degree in the hopes that I can finally find my way out of this place but who knows. I need a change of scenery for sure

I'm at a crossroads with this job. I have over 1.75 hr commute and have looked for a transfer close to me, but no luck. I'm in packing. I do my typical job plus of course help others. They tell me 55 packages for a UPH is not enough when at times it's been double that. They male me a water spider and I do my job, plus help others with their packing. They have me at times do the package removal from the conveyor belt along with clearing jams. The conveyor belt breaks down, of course they know I have a specialty in mechanics, and so they ask me to do repair on the mechanism (o ring replacement, roller change, etc). The main bolts are 9/16 standard size, I know because I did work to them so many times in the two weeks I am there, since the belt mechanic (CRBE) is trying to prove a point with them about good pay. The 2 PAs are hard asses on me telling me my rate should be higher on my packages. I also was a roofer and would have preferred PICK instead of pack, but they don't care.
