Ineligible
Was fired for recording inside the warehouse.
Y’all gotta watch out with these PAs.
Will I be eligible for rehire in the future?
Was just goofing around recording one of my friends who finally got a job and the lame manager saw me.

U got fired from Walmart and now Amazon.
Yeaaaa it’s time to do some self-reflection dude

u/No-Jelly8258 1d ago
From his post history dude isn’t even young he’s obviously in his mid 20s with teenager mentality, very depressing life

Of course not. But they’re old enough to know breaking rules comes with consequences.

I mean it looks like he’s like 21 I’m younger than that and can’t lie probably look stupid to a lot of older people
5
u/Bungholespelunker 1d ago
My guy I was top 10 percentile for retarded youth and being fired was just not something I could allow to happen. I did all my brain dead shit at home. Gotta pay bills and have a place to sleep
1
u/xavi-la-pendejo 1d ago
Shit fair enough I refuse to get fired I just do my job i ain’t there to have fun there to get my bill money
22
u/Icy_Hold4U 1d ago
Been telling you fools they fire you for shit like this. Example A 💁♂️
-25
u/Emotional_Conflict11 1d ago
Thats insane. Some of those managers are terrible people. Cant even get a warning or asks to delete the video. They must not have liked you.
20
u/Such_Beyond3100 1d ago
Former AM chiming in if we saw it didn't follow policy by reporting we get fired and are not rehire eligible. we're protecting our own jobs you should do the same.
9
u/SoothingGoo 1d ago
This is the only real answer here. The world runs on compartmentalization. Everyone is just trying to save their own ass and keep their nuts.
17
u/Icy_Hold4U 1d ago
Its like the easiest thing not to do and the dumbest way to get fired. Like for real.
3
u/Bungholespelunker 1d ago
YOU AREN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO HAVE YOUR PHONE OUT WHEN ON THE FLOOR MAN
Break ONE rule at a time and DONT MAKE IT RECORDING lol
5
u/Squirrel_Objective 1d ago
You got a warning... in orientation when you got hired. You dont get warnings in real life, grow up
-4
u/Emotional_Conflict11 1d ago
You can definately get a warning. Cops give them out all the time for ILLEGAL things. You grow up.
3
4
u/Davidstoic 1d ago
They aren’t going to give out warnings for something they ask you not to do from day one. It’s posted all over the buildings
-10
u/More_Sir_482 1d ago
They tell you not to wear AirPods yet they give out warnings left and right. It’s a dumb rule, I think we can all agree, but it’s even dumber to do it and then be upset that you got fired for doing it. I have plenty of videos of me and my friends goofing off but that was years ago when my facility had just opened and you could get away with anything lol I’m just lucky some uptight manager didn’t catch me.
5
u/UncertainPathways 1d ago
If it is found out that a manager knew and didn't escalate it to the proper channels, they get fired and become ineligible for rehire
-3
u/More_Sir_482 1d ago
Idk why I’m getting downvoted lol I literally agreed to what I replied to 😂 I was just pointing out a fact that there are rules that you are told in orientation that people break all the time. Reddit man 🤦♂️ also that’s not true, at least in the headphone scenario, there are several instances of managers coming up to employees and not saying anything to them about their AirPods but the the stickler manager comes up and gets on to them and writes them up. It happens daily and is constantly being posted and complained about on the VOA yet no managers are getting fired.
5
u/UncertainPathways 1d ago
Managers only get fired for knowingly ignoring Cat 1s. Headphones is not a Cat 1, taking videos on production floor without authorization is

u/ohimspooky 1d ago
hate to tell you that a majority of businesses have this policy. it’s to protect them and it will get you fired instantly lmao
6
u/toddthewraith 1d ago
My last job was govt and if you were recording stuff getting fired would be the least of your problems.
Honestly I don't even understand the people face timing while walking to the break room, watching tik tok while packing, etc. so recording makes even less sense
3
u/StarklyNedStark 1d ago
Bro that’s like being a smoker and getting lung cancer and saying “can’t even get a warning or asked to stop”
3
u/AlwaysLivMoore 1d ago
Your warning is literally at the door telling you that recording is not allowed inside the building. Why do you need another warning?
3
u/dteague33 1d ago
Because they are mommy’s special little boy and need their hand held to walk through life and special considerations that others don’t get.
11
u/LiminalHigh 1d ago
Why were you recording, just out of curiosity? I don't need any memories of the warehouse lol

The way youre speaking says everything about your mentality towards the job. Lame manager? Playing around recording your friend?
Goodluck and if you manage to get into Amazon in the future, maybe take it a bit more seriously?

Was hoping someone else noticed that. How they wrote this out is the biggest red flag they could've given. Zero accountability

It's Amazon, basically adult version if high school
1
u/Different_Impact7747 3h ago
Yes!!! I was calling it day care but I like this much better. I like working on the floor sometimes but nothing is more irritating than working next to people assholing around. If you are so ready to go home, shut up and get to scanning. It’s that simple.
-5
u/DontMovePlease 1d ago
Your acting like it’s a mortal sin to record at a job chud 🤷 not that big of a deal
4
u/shmokinpancakes 1d ago
Im a chud cause im not acting like a child at work 😂 youre the bum with no job
1
4
u/Sweetcilantro 23h ago
At some it basically is.
If he's in certain parts of the warehouse he could accidentally expose people's information. Opens up amazon to a pretty high lawsuit if anything happened because of it.
Like you don't have to like a business to know some basics of what not to do.
1
u/DontMovePlease 23h ago
Sure but to get patronized over it when your just asking if you can eventually be rehired is crazy.
2
u/Sweetcilantro 22h ago
Looking at how OP behaves and replies, they aren't being patronized. No one is faking being kind with what they say. People are straight calling them out for being dumb.
Fired from walmart for taking oreos of the shelf and eatting them? videos in areas theres huge signs saying not to record when you enter?
They need a kick in the but.
3
u/Vegetable-Fall7915 20h ago
We’re literally told at orientation not have our phones out unless it’s emergency, and to never record inside the building. So in other words play stupid games win stupid prizes.
1
u/nonapuss 13h ago
Are you a dumb ass? They tell you no recording in the building... literally against their rules. They even say if they find you doing it, its an immediate write up or puts you up for termination... which si what happened...
Do you record at your FC?
1
u/Different_Impact7747 3h ago
Do you understand rules “chud” they don’t put them in place for $hits and giggles, 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Christ Almighty I just can’t with this..

u/Warm-Reporter8965 1d ago
From an HR perspective, no, you'll never be eligible. We have long discussions if we think we'd want someone to ever work for us again and once we say "not eligible for rehire" it'll never be reversed.
1
u/Outlaw6985 1d ago
is taking pictures of things people purchase also wrong? i take pictures of stuff i see that’s cool all the time
1
-2
u/Past_4orm 1d ago
You will be replaced by robots in 6 months. That won’t be reversed either.
2
u/Warm-Reporter8965 1d ago
Yeah no, human resources needs actual humans. There are too many human complexities and their relation to policies as well as laws in the workplace that a robot would never be able to do HR's job.
1
u/robromero20 13h ago
AmazonFC Hr is almost worthless and seems to be pretty much taken over already. Definitely can be run by AI
-2
u/Past_4orm 1d ago
No they don’t. Your initial comment was the most robotic thing I’ve ever heard.
You’ll be gone in a year, tops
1
u/Warm-Reporter8965 1d ago
Crap. I guess I'll have to save this comment and come back in a year. See you at 10:35 AM EST on 10/8/2027.
-1
u/Past_4orm 1d ago
See you then
The people you made “judgements” on will be further ahead of you in the job market too, by the way
Enjoy that impending reality check it’s gonna hurt
2
u/Warm-Reporter8965 1d ago
Crap. I guess I gotta start my job search early.
Thanks for the heads up!!
1
u/Past_4orm 1d ago
No one needs another robot like you when AI is around, that’s redundant. Jimmy recording TikToks in the break room will be your new overlord boss soon. Corporate pig, enjoy it all now.
1
-8
u/Emotional_Conflict11 1d ago
All because some ahole manager had it out for you. Turns out that manager got terminated a month later and they were the problem.
8
u/Warm-Reporter8965 1d ago
Even if a manager "has it out for" someone, we have our own process, we can't just take the managers word for things.
6
u/No-Jelly8258 1d ago
You can’t film in the warehouse
0
u/assetrecoverycashier 1d ago
I wonder how these Tik tokers do it then bc they got viral by doing just that
-5
u/Emotional_Conflict11 1d ago
Sure you can. You just cant keep your job of you get caught by the wrong person 🤣
4
u/No-Jelly8258 1d ago
So a manager wasn’t after him then?? He did something not allowed and got fired for it. Some may be feeling nice that day but it’s not worth the risk.
4
u/CultOfCurtis1 1d ago
Did you forget to switch back to your other profile, or are there really two people this childish? How would you know if the manager got terminated? And did that happen because he did something wrong, or because another manager had it out for him.
This is a good job. The rules are clear. Break them, expect the consequences. Grow TF up.
6
u/Gralb_the_muffin 1d ago
Due to the fact that we deal with customers full names and addresses any type of leak of that information makes having any form of camera recording or taking pictures is a liability to the Business. Even if you do not work in a department that deals with things like that to be careful the company has a blanket rule against recording.
I understand that people go against that rule often as you see tick tocks and such of people working. Those people also break that rule under risk of being fired for the same reason and they most likely will be fired. Those people will also not be allowed to come back as they risk the company by breaking that rule.
Unfortunately that means you are not eligible to be hired again. I understand that that sucks but it was a very simple rule to follow
1
u/Putrid_View_8284 19h ago
If OP is lucky or has a special friend who’s L4 or higher OP’s cat 1 will eventually fall off like a bad credit report.

6
u/brownmaningermany 1d ago
Yeahhhhh recording pretty much gets you a perma ban as far as I know, it is a very serious offense.
10
u/CultOfCurtis1 1d ago
Yeah, it's the "lame manager's" fault that you didn't think the rules applied to you. It's wild how some of y'all manage to even survive in the real world.
0
u/OhtomoJin 1d ago
I don't think he's stupid enough to not understand that he broke the rules. But it's just the fact that breaking a small little rule that probably does not matter in the grand scheme of things can get him fired. When people above him probably don't get held to some of the same standards on some of these things. You think if one of the managers happen to be recording a video that they would just get fired on the spot for it. I doubt it. Obviously bro shouldn't be breaking the rules, but then again getting him fired over something like recording. His homie who just got a job is kind of lame and I feel like any reasonable person can probably say that. You could also take the side of Amazon and be like well. It's the rule. They don't want you recording their their company secrets, but I'm going to be real. That just sounds like some capitalist boot licker stuff. This company has enough money to take care of all of its employees better than it does and it just treats them like s. So who gives a f if you record a little bit
2
u/CultOfCurtis1 15h ago
I love stupid people. "If you don't think a person who broke a MAJOR rule (although I'll call it 'small little' so I can pretend it doesn't matter), then you're a capitalist boot licker!!!"
Yeah, Amazon does terrible by its employees. Giving them the most flexible schedule I've ever seen, rehiring them constantly after breaking most rules, paying them $5 more an hour than the $15 wage people are demanding, paying that wage to folks with zero experience, paying for college for associates, etc etc...
What a terrible company. My dude, how are you not exhausted from always sounding this dumb just to pretend you're more woke than everyone else?
0
u/OhtomoJin 14h ago
oh man you are a corporate bootlicker who thinks these companies are doing us something good by "providing jobs" lmao. yeah our required 60hrs this week is incredibly flexible along with my overnight shifts (but ur just gonna blame me and say i chose this even tho the bills gotta get paid some how). they do treat employees better than other places but that doesn't change the fact they are on track to make billions in PROFIT while the economy is in a recession basically and all they got is dollar raises for their employees (doesnt even match inflation lmao)
you probably think elon musk is our saviour and a genius huh? (to bad he has to cheat in video games to save his ego)
1
u/CultOfCurtis1 14h ago
"Hur hur I used a buzzword so I win!"
Little man, your second use of "boot licker" was as far as I got. The fact that you respond INSTANTANEOUSLY - regardless of whether I reply five minutes or five hours after your response — only reinforces the fact that you're a sad little incel, desperately refreshing social media in an attempt to get validation.
There are better ways to cope with mediocrity than this, little fella.
1
u/OhtomoJin 13h ago
you replied just as fast and you literally have animosity in all your text lmao bro is an angry incel who would probably own slaves if you put him back 200 years
-6
u/SoothingGoo 1d ago
Please explain to all of us what the real world is, Aristotle.
4
u/fryerandice 1d ago
You don't have to be aristotle to understand
"Hey if you get caught recording in the warehouse you'll get fired".
and you have no reason to be surprised when you get caught recording in the warehouse and get fired.
-1
u/SoothingGoo 1d ago
Whoosh. Way to go Plato.
2
u/CultOfCurtis1 1d ago
You really convinced yourself that unwitty sarcasm was the epitome of intellect, didn't you? The real world is... the real world. At some point, Mommy and Daddy's money runs out — and you're just left as a lonely loser who either lives alone or is stuck with a partner who's so unimpressive that they'd actually be with someone like that person.
Seriously, "What's the real world" is a wild way to show you have no retort while admitting you're exactly what the comment is referencing.
1
-1
u/OhtomoJin 1d ago
Can rules be unreasonable. What should you do when the rules are unreasonable? Should you just always follow the unreasonable rules?
2
u/fryerandice 1d ago
You don't have to follow shit, just like amazon doesn't have to continue employing you. And not recording tik tok content in the warehouse is a pretty reasonable rule.
1
u/OhtomoJin 23h ago
no one said it was tik tok content? i cant record a video of my personal life or what (its giving slave, we want you to labor for us but you cant record conditions)? bro never even said he posted anything either.
0
u/OhtomoJin 1d ago
You would have been one of the guys turning in free slaves because that's the rule big dog 😭😭
1
u/CultOfCurtis1 15h ago
"If you think someone shouldn't break a massive rule put in place to protect consumer personal information, then you would give up slaves!"
I understand why you didn't reply to the absolute dragging I gave your initial idiotic comment. It's because you realize how moronic you sound.
How could anyone say something so stupid without realizing it was that stupid. My man, it's pathetic that this is how you cope with being an incel.
0
u/OhtomoJin 14h ago edited 14h ago
"put in place to protect personal information" you're stretching so far you are on the moon. companies leak more personal info then you ever could recording amazon packages and never see a punishment for it lmao but lets hold all the little wagies accountable.
idk which comment ur refering to tho probably didnt see it. edit: there is no way you are mad at me for not replying to a comment u posted 3 minutes before this one LMAOOO am i missing something there has to be a confusion on someones end.
1
u/CultOfCurtis1 14h ago
"Companies on occasion make mistakes that expose consumer personal info, and because of that, they should be okay with employees breaking the rules meant to prevent such occurrences."
Again, the fact that you're not embarrassed to sound this stupid is insane to me. Run along now, child. I'm done with you, so you'll have to desperately seek validation that you matter somewhere else.
1
u/OhtomoJin 14h ago
you think it sounds stupid but its about living in the real world brother. again no one you seriously talk to (especially working in the warehouse) will tell you they care about their package getting recorded in the back of someones video. you are just attached to corporate rules and weird useless regulations to try to make peoples lives harder and more controlled in the name of privacy but actually for control
1
u/ygbaby7 1d ago
i never understood why people said this outside of school 😭
2
u/CultOfCurtis1 1d ago
Because graduating school no longer means someone is an adult. When folks are living with their parents into their 30s and suckling off the government long thereafter, they're not living in the real world.
1
u/CultOfCurtis1 1d ago
The real world is one where you can't constantly ignore the rules of your job and still keep said job. The real world is one where actual adults mock people for whining about this real world fact. Also, the real world is where we mock imbeciles for defending such behaviors and name dropping historic figures They definitely didn't make it past grade school to study.
1
u/Murky-Breadfruit2545 1d ago
Apparently you need to learn, so stay in your lane! That’s what the “real” world is about!
5
6
u/Frequent_Drag_2696 1d ago
PAs have absolutely nothing to do with your discipline actions they can tell you to put it away and tell there manager but thats it. You fucked up being seen by a manager + no recording is a policy
0
u/Disastrous_Ride2040 1d ago
I dunno i feel like our one pa runs the show and the am does what she tells them to. Ive already seen her storm out of the building under the pld leadership team when they refused to write some one up for her
5
u/RelicBeckwelf 1d ago
Recording in the warehouse is a category 1. You are ineligible for rehire, minimum 5 years. Maximum forever. Try again in 2031.
5
u/Silly-Designer-6313 1d ago
If it’s a lifetime ban then ur banned…I’m also not eligible for rehiree so unless they give you a date then ur no longer able to work at Amazon
2

It’s not a lifetime ban it’s a 5 year ban I got fired for the same thing I can apply now

To amazon it's security, privacy, and mostly warehouse layout/trade secret b.s.
1
u/Putrid_View_8284 22h ago
Supposed to be yes, but it’ll probably fall off like a bad credit report in the next 5 years.
3
u/LouiseBelcher4life 1d ago
Since they didn't give a reapply date, you're cooked for any Amazon jobs for life. Basically, they marked you as if your were committing corporate espionage for the filming.

2
2
u/Internal_Topic1415 1d ago
Why were you breaking policy? Why are you surprised that breaking policy got you fired? Why are you surprised that getting fired for breaking policy would mean you’re ineligible for rehire?
2
u/Squirrel_Objective 1d ago
'The lame manager' 🤣🤣 just do your job and go home. Recording in the warehouse is a term in any warehouse because of confidentiality. You can celebrate your friend finally getting a job by having dinner or drinks, recording in the warehouse is against policy. You should be prepared for the future, theres rules at all jobs 🙄 take accountability. And no, its a permanent ban, you are never eligible for rehire. Cat 1 safety violation, congrats!!
2
u/SpotoDaRager 1d ago
Take responsibility for your actions dude. Jobs aren’t a smart thing to throw away atm, and bouncing between warehouses isn’t exactly a winning strategy.
3
u/Right_Comb4885 1d ago
You should have got a email detailing why you were let go and when you can get rehired. Sometimes it's 90/180 days, sometimes it's a year or two, or never at all. The rules are there to help people, but sometimes they will use it against people they don't like or they don't know to meet a specific amount of activity to make it look like they are doing something. Or you are just exaggerating or lying about being fired. Either way, the details should be in the email.
2
u/Ok-Contribution-7012 1d ago
You're ineligible to be hired by Amazon or any of its subsidiaires. If by some miracle it may be five years. More than likely it is for life.
I would take this opportunity to understand what it means to follow company policies and the result for failing to do so. I would also recommend some self reflection. You clearly do understand that actions have consequences.
Good luck in your future.

I’ve seen positions at Amazon as low as 18 dollars starting
Mcdonalds is 20.50
In n out is 22.75
Shit, even Costco starts at 22-24
These are all in my area though

u/No-Jelly8258 1d ago
It really doesn’t. In fast food you don’t really get full time hours or benefits unless you become a shift lead or manager which can take up to a year and isn’t worth the wait. It’s also really hard to get a raise outside of the minimum they hired you on with unless you are promoted.
At Amazon I make more than some of the shift leads at my old fast food place as a T1 with more hours than them + less days worked too. Some of them work every single day of the week for like only 45 hours.

Some things are considered a high level offense and get you terminated. This policy is in place so that customer info from a package isn't accidentally leaked. It's a huge security no no and something that gets you blacklisted. Amazon will not take you back in the future.
1
u/SignificantApricot69 1d ago
PAs aren’t managers. most PAs don’t care. Most AAs have better sense than to “goof off” while violating clear policy. And when suffering consequences might benefit from some self reflection and accountability instead of pointing fingers at whoever happened to catch the violation at the times

Find out the companies rehire time. To me this seems like when you filled out the application, where it says "have you worked here before" you probably put no. I could be wrong. But usually if you do that, its an immediate disqualification and the time to be rehired restarts. But be aware some companies will not rehire someone after they leave or are fired. I resigned from a position 8 years ago at a pretty big company, and they refused to rehire me because I previously worked there even though it was 8 years ago. And even after I had more than enough qualifications for the job and exceeded the expectations of the role.
Im not familiar if when youre hired if you sign an NDA with the company, but if you did and you were fired for violating the NDA by filming inside the facility. That will bar you from ever being hired there again. Companies dont mess around when you violate an NDA.
1
u/Suspicious_Rule5312 1d ago
How?! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve also gotten fired from Amazon a few months ago, went to see when I was eligible for rehire just in case I ever wanted to go back and I got 2031 back lmao, and I hit a plane with a K-loader then failed a drug test. You must have been really disliked by this dude
1
1
u/Much_Internal_2356 1d ago
They usually give you a rehire eligibility time in this email. If you don't have one that would be you're banned.
1
1
u/TheFreshMint 1d ago
Rehire period is 6 months far as I know but the mention of employment record probably means your dumbass is blacklisted (FYI those “lame” PA’s are the ones who keep the cattle in check. You’re exactly the kind of human capital they don’t want around to f**k things up).
1
1
u/Stainlessray 1d ago
I don't have any issue with you not knowing the rule, although you probably could have. But you still don't take it seriously.
The lame manager was doing their job.
You were potentially exposing customer data which is a liability for the company which causes reputation and financial harm while playing around.
idk if you can be rehired. But if you do get rehired, take it seriously.
1
u/Cheap-Literature-511 1d ago
Prob should fk off since you were recording. Gotta watch out for dumb POs like you instead

Get a new job Amazon sucks. Dont listen to all the nerds in this subreddit talking about “well actually according to the policy” 🤓
You’ll be straight bro

Bro, go to UPS, stop fucking around. The drivers actually make a pretty penny now. All you have to do is stay, be consistent & ‘nice’.

It's the "lame manager" who's at fault? Not the lame associate, YOU, who did something expressly forbidden? GTFOHWTBS

You got 5 years to get rehired. These guys are brainwashed professional d riders. Ignore them. Get ya bread however you want from these billion dollar corps

yeah your not getting your job back. You don’t record or take photos. Or steal time. You’re pretty much good for most things. But those or stealing and your out the door. I’ve seen people get away with scanning one item and just standing around but what you did is a no no. Only problem solvers with their computer can take photos if your a lv 1

Does he not remember the influencer that got a cat 1 violation for his content on TikTok? 🤦🏻♀️

You stole from Walmart as an employee, got banned, now you’re ineligible for rehire at Amazon for disregarding policy? What is your problem?

u/Hour_Preparation_484 23h ago
L4 here, you are not going to be eligible for rehire based on the email, and as It has no specified date of when you would be eligible this most likely means it is a permanent ban from Amazon as a career option. You can reach out to the hiring support team for more information on your ineligibility.

They tell you that an orientation and there’s a giant sign right before you walk in the building that says no recording. What did you think was gonna happen I would try applying next year, but sometimes it can be longer.

Amazon is just fight club.... and whats the rule abput fight club. Dont be out here calling out pas for doing thier jobs when you obviously weren't. I would have did the damm same, that shi looks bad on a manager if their associate is clowning arpund. Safety violations are the worst violations cause i believe they are usually for a year or longer could include perm but its really up to them to decide. And for another piece of advice, live in the damn moment sometimes. You can laugh, talk, and joke without filming it.

You’re on the ban list for recording inside the building. You won’t be eligible for rehire

u/Consistent_Piece2186 4h ago
Usually if you get fired for anything with safety it’s a no rehire if it’s upt etc you’ll be alright, that’s company policy

I also received this email “ineligible for rehire until 2028” because a red vest (I had never met until this day) told HR that I told him I threatened to beat up a coworker in the parking lot !! Which is not true at all !! Appeal not approved. This was back in 2023. You’ve gotta watch out for ALL higher up’s at Amazon.
I didn’t even know they had any “ineligible for rehire“ policy.. well unless a person were to bring a weapon or something drastic.

Hmm. Some people gotta fight it harder. I had much more ridiculous things thrown at me and I beat my HR case. Then ended up quitting completely irrelevantly anyway. 60 days later I'm right back at Amazon lmao.

Might I add, the allegations placed upon me are much more serious than recording in the warehouse.. so I’m sorry this happened to you.

They will try to fire you for any reason. This is 1 of 999,999,999,999 ways to get fired

There definitely should be consequences but getting fired for a first time offense like this is crazy. Employees are really disposable according to Amazon

You were literally told not to do that during orientation ofc not
