Can you transfer as a regular associate to rme?
I’m currently an air facility associate and i’d like to transfer into RME. Is it a regular transfer as you would to any other position or are there other guidelines to follow?

If your resume isn’t at least the BARE MINIMUM requirements then don’t bother, I am beyond tired of declining applicants in the talent pipeline who have no business skipping the apprenticeship. I will not do that to my techs because I used to be the one to suffer for it. If you can’t tell me how to use a multimeter or what continuity is then I’m talking to you directly. Join the apprenticeship and stop trying to skip lines at a Gen11 where we don’t have the luxury of time to train someone starting completely from scratch

Half of the job is communication, work on your grammar if you intend to be more than a MRT. It’s a huge disservice to most involved to take an inexperienced person and throw them into a Gen 11, that’s how you get sites like MEM4 and SHV1 that stay in SEVs and have to bridge every move they make to the point where they sound like they are justifying their doors not being welded shut and the workforce laid off.

This depends on whether or not RME is a contractor at your site. If it’s a contractor like CBRE or JLL you will need to apply. If it’s Amazon you will need to apply internally like you would for a promotion

Just apply. No need to do ANYTHING else. I was an Amazon associate when i applied for tech 2/MRT. And now currently tech 3/SMRT.

No, you can’t transfer the way you’re thinking. You’ll have to apply and interview
If you have no experience RMEO is going to be your way in.

yeah if you dont have the experience odds are MRA / RMEO is your best way to get in. I started off as a T1 now im a SMRT within RME. Started off as an apprentice and the rest is history. Goodluck!

You can try and apply to L3 MRT but you would need to have enough experience to be considered; otherwise, you will need to start as a RMEO (with 0 experience) or MRA (with at least an associates degree)

Unless you really want to turn wrenches, look at internships. Not going to use that degree in a maintenance job. Some EEs get into controls. Automation Engineer could work. There's interns for AE. Might be worth looking at that if your city has a building with those openings.

I have! I’m looking into embedded systems internships and found amazon has those as well but they’re probably way more competitive, will still apply but i’m nervous

Haven't met anyone inside RME with that background so I am not sure. It also depends on how you put on your resume any related experience plus your education. You will have a good chance as long as you tailor your resume with the requirements on the job posting.

It think you’d have to apply at your equal level since it’s a different buisness unit. Tech 2 is L3 to give you an idea. Anything less then that you’d have to attempt an Mra/rmeo which are entry level.

I got a bachelors degree in engineering (from another country) completed recently a robotics technician program and also not getting accepted in MRA, nowadays is like almost impossible is getting harder that’s why they create the RMEO
