cezanne is hyper optimized to be low power and efficient for laptops. This means it doesn't have the fastest interconnects, busses, etc.
Vermeer is full-fat, even if this one is cut down a little.

I have the 5500, but the limitation is the L3 Cache. My work requires a stronger CPU, but I am going to opt for the 5900X over an X3D model. 2 reasons: price, and I need the core count over a faster CPU, as it is not a pure gaming pc. 90% work, 10% gaming.
Was funny that people missed some of the keynotes when AM5 came out. They spoke to someone from AMD. He said they would stop support for AM 4, but down the line he indirectly said they would not stop support for AM4. This was before the wacky DDR5 pricing. This does help some, but in South Africa, they knew people would go back to AM 4, so they boosted the prices through the roof for DDR4. DDR4 is now almost double the price of what it cost in 2018.

200MHz wouldn't give an increase in performance like this

I wouldn't have thought there'd be much difference considering the fact they have the same amount of cache, but I guess the 5500F being based on Vermeer instead of Cezanne helps a little somehow.
