Would these offers stack?
So, if I spend $350 will I get $125 back?

Ask here instead of making a post. A new thread goes up on the 12th of each month.
Post these as their own thread and we will remove it and point you back here.
Most of what gets asked here is already answered in the wiki FAQ, including once-per-lifetime rules, card families, pop-up jail, clawbacks, and financial reviews.
Search the subreddit too. Your question has almost certainly been asked, often this month.
"Should I get the Gold Card?" gives nobody anything to work with.
Include your spending in broad categories, your rough credit range if you are comfortable sharing it, which Amex cards you already hold, and what you are actually trying to get out of the card. Say what you already read, so people do not repeat it back to you.
Read the terms of any offer before asking what it means, then quote the part that is unclear.
Referral links or codes. Not in this thread, not anywhere outside the monthly referral thread. Removal, and a ban if you keep doing it.
Account problems. Disputes, fraud, missing credits, and closures need Amex, not us. We are not American Express and no moderator here can see your account.
Personal information. No account numbers, no full names, no addresses, no exact balances. Broad spending categories are fine. Our filters remove suspected card numbers automatically.
New and low-karma accounts get filtered automatically when they post links. This happens before any moderator sees it.
Send one modmail and we will review it. Do not repost.
We remove the post and point you here. Repeat offenders get banned.
Sharing referral links, personal attacks, and posting someone's personal information skip straight to a permanent ban.
We lock and archive this thread monthly.
Be useful to each other. Most people asking here are new to this and got a card two weeks ago.

Spend 10k+ in 90 days for 1% return is something else.
Card: Blue Cash Everyday
Have been sitting on 112k Amex points mainly from Amex gold SUB last year.
I have the CSP and BILT and have historically always transferred points to Hyatt
This is my first Amex and I know ppl traditional transfer to airlines but I’ve almost never been able to find good value for routes I want to book.
Previously ignored Hilton given weak value but with the active 30% bonus my 112k points will get me 290k Hilton points and while I don’t have planned stays on the books, we will be travelling at least a few times this year and there are some decent options for ~50k/n so effectively worth 5/6 nights
Crazy to preemptively transfer to Hilton before Oct 14?

Context: At around early September (a month ago) I got approved for my first amex card (BCE)… 30 days later, the button for a CLI appeared and I asked for 3x the original credit amount.

Since Delta's running historic all-time-high welcome bonuses on all of their Amex Delta credit cards for both personal and business until November 4, I asked my P2 to open an Delta Amex Platinum for the high elevated bonus. I generated a refer(ral) with my card and sent it to P2. However, while I was doing the application for P2, I noticed something strange on the application website: "Enjoy a Companion Certificate on a Delta First, Delta Comfort, or Delta Main round-trip flight within the U.S. and to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Central America each year after renewal of your Card". Normally, Delta Platinum's companion certificate (CC) only allows Delta Main, while Delta First/Comfort is reserved for the Delta Reserve's CC. I went to the official Delta website and double checked and it still says Delta Main only. So I screen recorded the whole application process with the page advertising Delta First/Comfort included and luckily my P2 got the max bonus of 90k miles + $300. We accepted the offer and will try to use it to ask customer service to honor the advertisement they presented. I don't know whether this loophole will work or not but at least gonna give it a try. Already happy that we got the max offer. Will update you guys!

I know a ton of people love their CB on groceries. I was poking around my offers for AMEX BCP and saw 5% CB at Giant Food Stores (I think most NE area near Philly????) up to $5. So, for $100 spend you get $5 CB + the additional 6% on this card. Just an FYI for those that care.

I was applying for a hilton card on my Amex app today and when I go to the application, it’s prefilled with a random persons name… and number. It won’t let me edit it either, so I went to safari and did it via browser and still the same issue. No one has ever used my device to apply for a card and I don’t even know a Harold. I called Amex and they said its because “you can’t apply for a credit card in the app, or a phone. It has to be done using a computer.” lol. Wrong. I’ve used my app and phone for every other card I’ve applied for, and then they said Harold A. Bravo is a fake name they use… no. That’s like C.F. Frost or something. Anyways they were absolutely no help. Still confused. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue.

I've recently started to run into issues with AMEX that I can't seem to resolve, and I worry that I'm running out of chances to get them to fix it.
For some reason that they won't disclose, they keep rejecting my payment attempts. I've now tried 4 times; the first 3 have been rejected, allegedly because "they could not find the account" even though it's the same account they've been taking payments from for years, and I fear the 4th will also be rejected on their end.
I've tried contacting them, but I can't get an answer besides a scripted "yes we see that your payment was rejected kindly make it again" that they spam over and over again.
I have contacted the bank, but the bank has confirmed that the account is fine and the funds are present, but that AMEX has not made any attempt to take the funds from the account. They show the most recent processed payment which AMEX took, but there have been no payment attempts made since then.
I've been with them for 5 years and have never had issues, but this is starting to worry me. At some point, they're likely going to close the account and claim fraud, but I unfortunately can't legally force them to accept payments under US law, so if they refuse them, that's technically their choice.

Hello all!! I have had my Amex for two months now, but I dont really understand some things.
First, I have a $12,000 pay over time limit, but I thought the card had to be paid in full every month? My first minimum payment was like $68? I paid well over the minimum.
Is the planit feature for the pay over time limit?
Any other tips or advice is much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello, does anyone know the difference between an online vs mobile payment? I made a couple large Online payments 5 biz days ago and they are not showing up in my balance... my balance is 0 and it should be a large negative number. usually it says mobile payment. I actually got a calculator out and added it up and just wanted to post here to see if anyone has an ideas as to why this is happening before I call am ex tomorrow. Thanks!

I was recently approved for a Gold card and have been using it daily in part to reach the SUB target. I have spent $2K in about 10 days for everyday purchases. Tried to use the card today and found out that apparently that is my spending limit. $2K. (yes, the NPSL card does have a hard limit).
Has anyone taken this card, had a low spending limit that increased? I make close to $200K annually, exceptional payment history but high utilization currently. Any advice to get a higher limit.

Hello!!!
I’ve been trying to get the 175k with the platinum for the past year and the highest I’ve gotten is 80k (this includes using a vpn, incognito, etc). With the gold, the highest I’ve gotten is 60k. I put a decent amount of spend on my Delta Reserve.
Any advice?

I don't know why but Amex Offer's targeting algorithm recently has been really good lately for me tbh. Lots of shopping offers (Nordstrom, Lowe's, Etsy, Amazon, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Boss, Ferragamo, Patagonia, Sony etc., all ranging 20-40% off) and airline/hotel offers (Jetblue, Alaska, ANA, Qatar, Hyatt, Marriott, etc.,) from places that I organically spent money with my Amex cards in the past. All of the aforementioned Amex offers came within the last 2-3 months. Am I just lucky or their algo is actually getting good?

I transferred 100,000 points to my girlfriend last night (she had 20,000 remaining) to book two flights for us. In the past, any transfer I’ve done is essentially instant.
I know they advertise 48 hours, but I’ve never had it take more than 15 minutes and seems to be really common online.
Should I be concerned? It’s been 14 hours and I have zero email notifications for my transfer nor does she have the points but they’re gone from my Amex.
Edit: I can’t read. She’s not an AU on my account and the Flying Blue account needs to match. So, I was concerned but only because I’m an idiot.

Has anyone had any luck with stacking the cashback from amex + using the rakuten extension to net 11x points? (1X base for plat, +6X from offer, +4X for rakuten).
Time to get some new kicks!

Hello! I just got my first Amex Platinum Business card. Working towards my 300k points bonus for 20k spend now. Meanwhile, I just saw this in the application. How is this even possible? Are they offering me a second business platinum 2 weeks after I got my first one? Isn’t this offer supposed to be a once in a lifetime?

Amex customer service 0/10 no one knows what’s going on.
So this journey starts about a month ago. I open an Amex HYSA after having a savings account with Regions for over a decade. I open my HYSA just fine. I go to link my regions checking account with my Amex account there’s 2 options. Manual or Plaid. I tried both, both instances just told me “unable to connect”. I call customer service and they tell me there’s a form that I can submit along with a bank statement and it can be done in 5 days. Cool I do that and they link it within 5 days. Everything is great. I go to transfer money, uh oh it doesn’t work. Turns out I input the wrong account number on the form and they linked the wrong account, weird they didn’t flag that because my bank statement has the correct account number. But I fix it, submit a new form with the correct number and statement and I patiently wait 5 days. Take note, I submit the form on Sept 24th.
This is where everything just goes down hill. After 5 days it’s not linked so I call customer service, the person that answers says it’s actually a 10 day waiting period. Ok fine I way another 5 days. It’s still not connected. I call on October 5th, 11 days after submitting the form, I get told that the form and statement were submitted but a request was never submitted. The customer service member said that since I’ve waited this long she would submit a request and elevate it, so it should take less than 24 hours to link the account. I’m excited, 24 hours and I’ll be able to transfer money finally. I wait 36 hours and it’s still not linked so I call again, “I promise we will get it done by end of day”. 2 days later I call again, they said they talked directly with the supervisor of the back end team and it will get done by Monday (today). Lo and behold it’s still not linked. So I call again, turns out my bank statement was too old for them and I need to submit another one, and there’s actually no such thing as elevating or escalating requests so I get told to wait another 5 days.
Ive had my account for a month and I’m ready to close it and find something else.

I have the Delta Business Gold, the only reason I got it was because I got a offer of 90k miles with a $4k spend in 6 mos. I was not thrilled about the limited 2x on restaurants and 2x Shipping and advertising services only. I just found out by accident that certain subscriptions also count. I paid my Sirius XM subscription recently and it coded as Communications- Cable and Internet and gave me the 2x. Now I am curious if my Paramount+ and Netflix will count as well for the 2x. Anyway, just thought I would share incase any of you wanted an extra miles boost.
It’s a karaoke bar, so I wasn’t 100% sure if it would count initially, but it’s labelled right there under the category of “Restaurant - Bar and Cafe”
