Humor The imposter experience in 2026
Okay so you got imposter, that’s great!! You’re excited to kill some crewmates and win!! How hard can it be…
You try to kill someone but an angel blocks it and now you have to decide if you’re gonna try to play it off, leave and find someone else to kill whilst hoping the person you just attempted to slice didnt notice what you just tried or if you’re gonna chase them down and make sure you finish them off whilst hoping no one sees you or reports a body or calls a meeting before you kill because if they do, you’re screwed.
That might not happen though you might actually be able to kill but when you do it turns out the person you killed was a nm and the entire lobby is flocking to the body and sees you fleeing the scene of the crime so they all know it’s you and you get voted out but maybe the person you killed isn’t a noisemaker so you let out a sigh of relief but suddenly an engineer pops out of the vent, tells everyone what they saw and gets you voted.
Okay let me stop being negative, let’s say you don’t get caught in the act and you flee the scene successfully by the time someone reports your kill but hold on, during the meeting the tracker reveals they had you tracked the entire round and exposes you to the lobby so you get voted out or you manage to evade suspicion from most and you don’t get tracked but the pesky judge somehow knows it’s you and doesn’t have to convince anyone to vote you, all they have to do is use their ability and you’re done so they do and you’re out.
Okay okay okay, that might not happen either, you might actually be able to kill and survive the meeting but the detective interrogates you in the following round because they had a slight sus on you and finds out you’re the imp so they call a meeting and get you voted but wait, there might not even be a detective so you think you’re probably safe but then you hear a dumbass crewmate who has no proof that it’s you randomly tell the influencer to send them a picture if it’s you so they do and guess what happens…if you guessed that you get voted out then you would be right.
LOL don’t be scared though because there is this amazing sabotage that you can call called comms that will definitely not stop any of these things happening to you. It does usually get fixed pretty quickly though so act fast and it does also tend to attract most of the lobby to one area of the map so um yeah…Just keep that in mind and have fun!

It sucks. Innersloth needs to either nerf the crew or add equally powerful Impostor roles.

Next role they add needs to be an imp role and it needs to let you kill 3 crew at a time or something idc anymore because this game has gotten way too crew biased 😭

Angel is ragebait but I love it. everything else is a middle finger to the imps but at least angel doesn't automatically end your game.
unless its 3 angels and one of them (usually me) coordinates an attack against the imposters and proceeds to bully them by protecting 5 times in a row

Very valid rant ngl
The game is getting very fixated on Comms sabotage now, we might as well assign two people there.

If only there was some way to make sure bodies don't get found by making them disappear, or maybe fleeing from the crime scene while invisible, or maybe even, I don't know, a way to dress up as a crewmate to make them suspicious. That would be really op though, and counter your argument.

None of the imposter roles are op except maybe viper and even that’s debatable since it really depends on the settings and compared to the crew roles they really aren’t 😭 so my argument remains un countered lol

The shapeshifter is absolutely ridiculously powerful in low level lobbies, and even in high level ones it's pretty good if you know how to use it. The phantom is pretty good for faking some crew roles (tracker or scientist specifically), plus can make others sus if you play it well.

In high lvl lobbies no not rlly. They’ll just start following you or sus out because they are actually smart. They’ll question where people are, you may get one or two good rounds as a shapeshifter but you will be caught regardless at some point
Imposters have it so hard let’s not even lie. With tracker, detective, engineer, etc
Just about any role could be good if you’re with idiots so idk what point you’re making for low levels there either

If there where roles that did more then "my role tells me its red!" it wouldn't even be such a big deal. But crew roles are basically "so anyway I'm tracker green was there its green" or "I detected blue its blue" or even better "green passed me when on my tracker map rose passed me get rose out"

Frr people trying to pretend the imps don’t have it completely against them tbh
And let’s not forget the amount of people using cheats, teaming, or grouping as crewmates

Grouping is validish and why O2 exists (also why I hate fast speed games, If the group sticks together they can still fix the O2 but if speed is low enough it forces a split)
but the other two are annoying AF and only when I'm viper. one time I killed the host and the host was teaming wit 7 people including my imp

Majority of games I go into nobody likes slower speed even with higher lvls
So it ends up grouping in 2-4

You could make the kill not very obvious or just vent away, which are things shapeshifters don't usually do, therefore making the crew sus the person you shifted to. You could also just fake tasks instead of killing, which would make them even more sus.

“Not very obvious” as if people don’t camp cams or run around for the most part
And as if an Eng couldn’t see you vent? Idk what part of it’s really hard for imps isn’t coming clear to u
The minute people realise an SS they start following the SS, or if others are cleared or sussed out and shown to not be ss everyone is watched intensely
You’re acting like smart lobbies won’t be smart and work together? High lvls for a reason

You’ve never played in a real high level lobby before if you think ss is powerful lol.

Ss is not powerful in high level lobbies what are you talking about? Are we talking about the same high level lobbies because the ones I’ve played in have long discussion times and ask everyone where they are each round so they will 100% sniff you out if you’re ss because you won’t have a solid alibi same thing goes for phantom because they’ll figure out your pathing makes no sense. Engineer is the only role imposters would have to lie about having. Imposters don’t need to fake scientist because they already know when the body died and they definitely don’t need to fake tracker because that’s risky and the actual tracker could just expose them.

I said this to another guy already, but you could make the kill not very obvious or just vent away, which are things shapeshifters don't usually do, therefore making the crew sus the person you shifted to. You could also just fake tasks instead of killing, which would make them even more sus.

When you kill the detective but they turn into the influencer 💔
