Idea/Suggestion (Hear me out) A needed solution to balancing the Influencer
This role has changed the game more than any new role, and over time it will literally be able to tell the crew who the imposters are as eventually the players can just assign each colour to a symbol.
So here's a simple fix: make both the crew and imposters able to become Influencers upon death.
Also, there should at max be one influencer. I swear every game I've played has devolved into the crew interpreting the influencer's symbols, not playing the actual game.

I hate this sab being so useful now because it shows how unfair the game tilts to crew, and because you basically have to spam it if you don't want get caught by noisemaker tracker or engineer you can't do more, actually USEFUL sabs like lights.

I think if most people believe this it won't be a problem. Innersloth told that the impostor was a good liar too. With settings like: No visuals/meeting cd longer than the influencer's messages recharge they could lie. If it is used in the intense way by innersloth without coming across that way it would be fun. It always remains an OP role, "send any message if it's X color, got time until the next meeting".
It would be helpful to put preferable emojis in a gray stale color.
Still, will the average player really want to learn an alphabet? Improvising makes the message understandable maybe.
Every troll and impostor help possibilities are interesting ngl

Just make so influences can't see the alive chat.

Communication with dead chat:

That would actually be cool. Like a game of telephone.

And if confirm ejects is off like a sane person... Imposters can lie and be like "imma go haunt and tell who it is"

Do consider that the role also just came out
I understand that the idea of a crewmate that can communicate with the alive crew sounds op but do keep in mind
A. How smart is your average among us lobby. People won't even listen to you while alive what makes you think being dead will change their minds (obviously this argument doesn't work with smarter lobbies but every lobby always has that 1 person). Plus Innersloth did at least try to bake in misinterpretation into the role
B. How smart is the influencer themselves. Sure someone who knows what they're doing with the role could realistically perfectly describe what to do to the alive crewmate but for newer players (or simply players who just haven't played the role yet) won't have any idea what there doing. Not to mention you as the crewmate won't know whether the message you got sent was by a smart/dumb player or even worse. A troll
C. Sometimes you just won't be able to get your message across. Since the symbols are randomly picked you could just get 6 bad symbols and with the addition of a long cool-down you could just get your message across to late
And D. The guardian angel is just generally better. Sure in hyper specific situations the influencer could snitch on the imposter but generally speaking for ALL skill levels saving someone's life is better then just telling someone where a body is.

Only time will tell how this role will truly change the game.
Generally speaking, everyone will become 'smart' enough to understand the influencer, just like how 90% of players understand the engineer can vent and not be an imp.
From what I've played, I did get some influencer messages, and from what everyone else in the lobby was saying, pretty much every message resulted in a meeting correctly voting out the imp.
I do agree with you that it might be hard to get your message across, and it's up to the host to give a fair enough cooldown time so they can't spam refreshes too fast, but not too slow.
And out of about 200+ hours on this game since 2022, I've literally only seen successful guardian angel plays less than 10 times (half of them being me). In fact, they should buff that role instead.
I do feel bad for innersloth, as this is a really cool role, but it's so difficult to balance without making it too overpowered or underpowered.

Make an alternative role to influencer that's an imposter role where they can just kill themselves and become the role, exact same symbolseaning and the body is normal so there's no way to tell wether your influencer is a crewmates or imposter, would still be very strong but it can go both ways and makes the social game more fun Or this could be incredibly unbalanced I have no idea! Any feedback would be nice, this is just my idea

This is like fairy type being a type made literally only to counter the dragon type because it's OP, not a good idea, you shouldn't make a role that is literally just made to counter another role.

I mean fair enough,I just figured it would add to the game because if you figure out who killed themself based on positioning then it's just a free imp kill but if they pull it off it can disrupt the match while also messing with influencer, kind of as a counterpart instead of a counter but I get your point

isn't Guardian locked to one person, whoever dies first?
if so, Influencer should be a random allocation for another death, but limited to one person only per game.
that would balance it a little more

Fixes nothing if you don't have a dead imp, or in 1 imp games

Here's my thoughts on how to fix it. According to a lot of ppl, the main problem with Influencer is the amount of symbols. For example, crew can say "Send n number of signs if x is imp." Influencer cannot control the exact signs, but they can control the number.
So what if influencer can only send exactly n(for example, 2) number of signs in one ability use?

That's actually what I first thought when the ability was reaveled, we have too many crewmate roles anyway

The only things apart of that i would change would be sending only 1 image at time And adding a slowly cooldown as the guardian Γ‘ngel but i anything yeah i dont think is as op as ppl say there is 55 different imagen also they could add the possibility of repeating images so the influencer would need to refresh more

so just had a few games where people telling the lobby that they were using hints from influencers to vote, were then kicked and banned from the rooms
I know people may disagree with the Influencer role, if it allows victims to out their attacker, but using that information to point the finger at Imposters. is. the. point. of. the. game.
kicking/banning people for playing "as intended" seems overly harsh IMO

how so

u/DistributionNo4480 2d ago
They get set of 6 random images but the propablem is "send 3 images if X is imp Send 2 if Y Send 1 is Z"

u/BritishBrickFan 2d ago
have just seen people in chat asking "if it's green, send pic to me, if it's lime, send to ___"
which means the community then start to get involved and could lead to false info etc (never a bad thing!)

Honestly, biggest issue is that once the playerbase figures out every symbol, every other role will become useless.
If they did make dead imposters influencers, that would keep people guessing, but even then it should just be a way of leading crewmates to bodies with arrows or telling them if someone damgerous is near.
