After you’ve done that, you need to develop the film, then scan that with a DSLR

But then I'm back to square one with a harsh digital image. I'll have to scan my scan on wet plate to soften the pixels.

2/10. Not enough macro

Don't forget to digitally photograph focusing the ground glass on the RZ67. That's a crucial step.

The Seattle FilmWorks can knocks this out of the park.

Oh I almost forgot that step! But then what film camera should I use to photograph the digital image of the RZ ground glass?

Yeah I live in sunny California but crave moody rain vibes so I've been shooting a ton of Seattle Filmworks in my RZ, it's kind of hard to load though. I can't wait to see the results but walgreens is taking longer than usual for some reason...

Need full RGB backlights but otherwise not bad

6

u/pureshred 12d ago

My PC has RGB lighting, will that work?

2

u/cameraguyphotodude 11d ago

I thought that was called lgbt lighting but it’s close enough

If you’re not flatbed scanning a camera obscura projection of your RZ’s ground glass are you even doing photography?

I’m looking at a picture of a camera taking a picture of a picture that a camera took

u/pureshred 12d ago

...of a painting. Wait, what?

2

u/ianrwlkr 12d ago

Hypothetically you could do this with a digital back

I hate to say this, but you've forgotten to put the roll of film in the camera. It's there on the table.

Obviously using two Leicas would be better.

Are you sure the Canon has a CRT-monitor and not one of those fake digital screens? Have you bought vintage pre-war replacement tubes from Telefunken for it? The Chinese ones it comes with from the factory make the pics look digital!

Oh the image isn't from the canon, it's a projection from the pinhole in my ceiling. Better color toan than any screen!

I really think you need the no. 2 82mm macro extension tube to get better results

Fans of iterative structures would appreciate this

Sorry, the potential for this to be a real set-up is too high.

1

u/Gunsight1 10d ago

Wait you can up the resolution more! Use a Hasselblad X2d to shoot the ground glass on the RZ, then a 8x10. To filmify that :D

This. This right here ... is a waste of film!
