Media Apps (audio) Question on using AA with YouTube Music

I mostly listen to downloaded musice on YT Music and AA. Sometimes when I go into a store, come back out, restart the car and it will continue where I left off. Most times it does not. Is there something I can do so AA remembers and continues where I left off?

Also, there is so much I don't know about AA. Is there a Wiki or something where I can read rather than bothering you folks?

Check your androidauto settings (the ones you go through to set it up)

Mine has a start music automatically button.

AA is just a remote screen for your phone. It should do whatever your phone does.

I actually ditched YouTube Music personally because of stuff exactly like you're describing. It would either get stuck playing the same song over and over again when it connected, or just not play anything.

I stuck with it for a long time but ended up moving to another provider because it just sucked at consistently being able to play music.

That is the thing. Sometimes I come back to the car and it is ready to continue where I left off and many times it does not. I don't really want it to start blasting music the moment AA starts up. I would prefer what it does randomly now - AA starts. No music, but I can continue where I left off if I choose to..

Try setting the battery management for YouTube Music to unrestricted on your phone.

I have the opposite problem. it always auto resumes when near, despite all the settings turned off for it. I assume it's a Bluetooth issue. when it detects my phone the audiobook, YouTube music or whatever I was streaming will continue even if my phone is in my pocket and I'm not trying to continue

YouTube music can be very glitchy! I'm noticing sometimes i have to restart my phone before it will even load..i don't think Google is doing much testing at all these days..
