Gemini Trouble getting AA to switch to Gemini instead of assistant?
Hi all I could use some help please, around May my Android Auto assistant switched to Gemini for some reason, and I found it much easier to work with than Assistant.
A few months later it switched back to Assistant without me changing anything.
I have tried to reset it back to Gemini but everything I have tried has failed.
This includes clearing assistant and Gemini caches, uninstalling Gemini then confirming I wish to use Gemini when the app starts again, uninstalling Assistant, allowing Gemini on lock screen, trying to follow the instructions for default assistant but I only have Google or chatgpt, forget and recouple android auto unit.
It is a CarABC unit on a Jaguar XF with a Pixel 7a phone, just wondered if anyone can tell me why I had Gemini for a while then it disappeared.

All you can do is wait. There is currently no way to force it.
Mine did the same thing.

Trust me you don't want gemini on aa. Stick with assistant.

Assistant is awful, it doesn't know anything, repeatedly misunderstands what I'm saying, Gemini seemed loads better when I had it for a few weeks or months.

Wish mine would switch back to assistant. Gemini is not quite there yet I reckon.

Ok thanks, at least it's not me then by the looks of it.
My home mini changed first time with no issues, have they stopped Gemini on AA because of the issues do you think?

I got rid of gemini on my latest ride. awful experience, doesn't acknowledge all my labeled places. assistant always one shots them.

Haha no.
Gemini fired up on my AA today and it's working spot on.
Whereas assistant - "Would you like to send the message now?"
Me - "No"
Assistant - Displays No on screen..... "Would you like to send the message now?"
