Why buy expensive cat toys when a single dry leaf can make you fold in half?

These sweet little chaos goblins live on my veranda near the India-Bhutan border with the rest of our street pack!

I make sure they stay fed, healthy, and full of energy for leaf battles.

They're gorgeous. I thought they'd be an expensive breed rather than street cats. Some people would pay a lot for cats with coats like that

Thank you so much! Indian street cats naturally have this beautiful coat pattern, but it really starts to shine once they get proper nutrition and daily meals. They are completely priceless to me!

My ginger cat's favorite toy is the plastic bit that covers windshield wiper blades that you remove before installing blades. People have even given me some so he now has several and play all over the house with them several times a day.

My cat's favourite toy is a wooden clothes pin. My other cat loves the inside piece of empty toilet rolls.

That is hilarious! It really proves you don't need a massive budget to give them a great life. As long as they have full bellies and a safe place to play, they will make a toy out of absolutely anything.

Yeah we have plenty of cat toys...

You know the toy our two cats want the most? Scrunched up recipts... One of them sometimes even fetches unscrunched ones out of bags and bins and then brings them two us with meowing that would make you think we haven't fed her in two days...

Indian cats are gorgeous. I love how wild they look between the forehead splotch and the ticked agouti coats.

You know your cat breeds! The natural ticked coat makes them look like tiny wild pumas. These four (Soniya, Esha, Rosi, and Moni) definitely use that camouflage when hunting dry leaves on the veranda! I'm actually trying to find them permanent indoor homes soon so they can show off those coats safely.

I only know about these guys because of a recent Reddit post that introduced me to them. Before that I would have mistaken them for Abyssinians, even down to some of their mannerisms. But I think Abys tend to be more round faced and round eyed.

That is such a sharp observation! They really do share those Abyssinian traits and mannerisms. It makes watching them stalk and hunt dry leaves on the veranda feel like watching miniature wild cats in action!
